    In theory this is a Bardatus. One must not forget that the word is a coruption of a germanic word and the roman in their ignorance thought that all Celtic or germanic chants were one of the same (early on) hence why they Say the celts did it.

    the Barditus is predominately a war chant however the Cornutii a Roman unit in the late Empire did have what is said to be a 'Quickstep Barditus'. However the the author failed to specify what the particular Barditus involved.

    one of the last recorded barditus was at the battle of Hasting in 1066
