Thread: Tomorrow we have an interview for the new Total war game, taking your questions! (OP updated!)

    Well... it's kinda obvious.

A standalone follow up to Rome 2. Here, let's grab the definitions of those words:

    stand-alone
    adjective
(of computer hardware or software) able to operate independently of other hardware or software:
    "a stand-alone application"

    follow-up
    noun
The act or an instance of following up, as to further an end or review new developments:
"The follow-up is often as important as the initial contact in gaining new clients. The social worker's emphasis on followup reassured her clients."

So. Total War: Attila is a follow-up, or new development of Rome 2, which can run independently from Rome 2.

Ask them about the factions. Which factions will be playable in Attila TW

    .
Through your intercession I hope to see the light of Thy son and the light of everlasting ages !

How long, in months or years, is each turn? Are there 4 turns per in-game year, or more?
    Will City-View be in?
Can the inevitable pre-order DLC please not be factions, but other content e.g. units, historical battle, videos, soundtrack download, physical figurines/board games like collector's edition, or exclusive downloadable material like AC3's Washington's notebook. Factions are integral to the game, not DLC material.

Very good rocking song. The message of the song: WHEN PEOPLE LEARN TRUTH ABOUT UKRAINIAN WAR, THEY WILL GO INSANE!! (I suggest to turn the english subtitles on. Its over 18only because of violent pictures) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AAR6nUV7VI

I think the answer to both of those has already confirmed as yes.

Thanks for answering, too bad noone is asking you but proposing questions for the interview, its not a TWC Q&A.
"Standalone follow-up" is not an accurate way to describe the game which can hint to its development effort and new engine capabilities. The expression used is also a good way to predict the price tag the game will have and atm its pretty blurry.
Its either a downloadable content (5-20€) an expansion (20-40€) or a brand new game (40-60€). Its not a stupid nor innocent question.

If its "downloadable content"-like quality/effort at the price tag of a new game, and is announced as an expansion (whether standalone or not), it has an importance.

    Hi Guys,

As promised in a previous thread (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?667834-Tomorrow-we-have-an-interview-for-the-new-Total-war-game-taking-your-questions!/page1)the latest Gameovercast episode features our Attila interview with Pawel Wojs and Dominique Starr. It was great to meet them and speak about Attila, along with getting a chance to play it.

    Highlights of the interview include

    -Map changes
    -Disease propagation and army effects
-Turn vs Time (how many turns per year)
-Features feeding back into Rome 2.
    -Multiplayer changes
    -New agents
    -Time period
    -Siege differences
-How will Attila spread throughout the map
    -Ai changes
    And mucho Mucho more!

We have a couple of cool Attila t-shirts to give away, and will be doing so in the next episode.

You can now listen to Episode 192 on our website or download it on ITUNES (when the link becomes available).

The interview starts about 51 minutes in.

Treid to create a new thread for it, but I think a mod updated this thread instead, which makes sense .

I'm a bit sad you didn't ask about unit pushing (me and another person requested it), but it was a great interview nonetheless!

Great so now Agents have TWO actions available to do? They're powerful enough as it is

I think he meant 2 actions as in, they only have 2 abilities each at the start. But when you level them up, they unlock more. So it nerfs them, not buffs them.

It actually changes them for the better, since in Rome II all agents could do very similiar actions, but here we go back to a shogun 2 system with each agent type having his own unique abilities with the addition of unlocking new actions as they progress, leading to more specialization. At least that´s how I understood it. I like it
