I think this part of the forum is in fear of getting useless.

I posted an idea. So maybe it was not the best idea. But it was something that popped up in my mind and at the time i thought it was a good idea adn it might be fun for the community. But as much as i enjoyed my little one on one with Sinblesz, i am disappointed with the way he answered my whole suggestion. A simple ''that sucks'' is far from respectfull.

I don't mind people not liking my ideas. I work in journalism so i am accustomed to my fair share of criticism from my senior editors, but they always motivate their ideas. That does not seem to happen here.

It's not just my idea that got dismissed by a simple ''that sucks'' others got the same treatment.

Some, arguments next time, please, otherwise we could as well close this whole section, because the whole argumentation doesn't exactly entice people to voice their ideas in here.

Look, I already have to mod 1,000 n00bs and their posts, I already have to monitor the forums 10 hours a day, you both caught me in the day when i was employing THE MOST CHANGES in the forums since we moved, and you also caught me in the day when I had to study for 3 tests, and write 2 essays, one of which was for the university. Now, taking that into consideration, when I said "that idea sucks", it was the best answer that you guys could possibly expect from me, because I know how these forums work more than anyone else, and I know what is destined to fail...

Making a polls-only forum is destined to fail. Why? Because first, it would be a spam fest if anyone DOES have an interest in such a section, and second, it will be uninteresting and stupid. Polls are made to either find out the forum's opinion about a thing or to divert from the general thought of the forums into something more "fun". These two aspects will evidently be destroyed if I make a polls-only forum. Why? Because I assure you that NO civitate or member with even the slightest intelligence would ever dare to either post or vote in such a stupid section.

As for Smoke's idea of a contest, I am not in the mood of either organizing or doing anything related to managing another contest for a while. Also, the idea is remotely interesting. I doubt that anyone will have fun at the prospect of watching me with my newly bought copy of RTW while making goofy faces. It's really stupid to host a whole contest on the premises of these actions. If you want to post a fun topic about that, then be my guest... but to make a contest about this is insane.


As for the feedback and suggestions, I am doing my best to provide for your best interests. The suggestions that I like, I employ.

just because you don't like someone's idea sib, doesn't mean you have to have a go at them over it, thats what we technically call "FLAMING".

also, just because you personally don't think its a good idea doesn't mean it is automatically a bad idea. thats hwat the curia is for, we vote on peoples ideas or reform and improvement of the forum. one man arbitrarily deciding is call a dictatorship (or currently, Britain )

on a personal note, though we all appreciate your good work, don't let the work of TWC interfere with oyur school and education, afterall, we'd like to see your good work continue in the future, not be cut short because you've suddenly got a load of deadlines and work, and not ours in the day, got overworked and in a fit of fury, stab yourself to death with a fountain pen! :p

So saying that an idea sucks because it actually DOES suck is bad? I don't get it. I never flamed the person with idea, I flamed the idea. That's not flaming.

As for the democracy... tell smoke to propose it in the Prothalamos... he's a civitate, but the thracian is not. If member's like his idea of that outrageous contest, then they will consider it, we will vote upon it, and it will be applied.

Honestly, i don't care for my idea. It was just a thing that popped up in my mind, just like thousands of other suggestions that spawn from my brain each day. I am not attached to it, and will not waste a vote on it.
