Thread: Standard bearer

    Default Standard bearer

Hi, I'm trying to bend an arm in milkshape for a standard bearer but I can only do it using the animations button. Once I unclick the animation button it goes back to its original location. How can I move it and set it.
    Thanks

Did you try selecting the corresponding loints and move them along with the corresponding vertices?

You don't need to bend the arm for a standard bearer! Just move the banner/flag/standard to the soldier's arm and rotate the flag so that it will appear that he is "holding" it. Rotate the standard so that the banner will "aim" at an ideal direction.

You probably want to bend the arm as this tutorial states, but I'd say that it isn't necessary if you got proper animations for banner bearers. Just rotate the banner itself like it is a normal polearm.

Well, if you just want to place the standard shaft right into the figure's hand you'd better do it like BM309K58SMERCH said.

It's only a matter of placing the banner correctly and using the proper animation.

    using this animation in modeldb:

Hey, so I just tried that animation/position out, and it doesn't work with most of the different types of units:

You need to rotate the banner around it's axis and maybe tilt it up a little (see the Milkshape picture). Once the unit starts marching the banner will be upright.

How can you tilt the hand and banner up at the same time using milkshape?

I use BM309K58SMERCH's mentioned tutorial ... Its a bit harder but results may be quite good espesialy if you assign the banner vertices to corect bones!

The banners have a primary "waving" effect!
With the same tutorial and vertices assignment you can have also these (watch the toughs of Pechenegs in 0,17 & 0,54)
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.
