Do you have your eb installed in the default folder?

I have it installed to the default steam folder, but I can't get the mod to launch from desktop so I change the mod folder name to "teutonic" and launch it through steam. Could that be causing the problem?
Reinstalled MTW2 and installed EB2 again and still have same problem. Hope there's a solution for this. Would really like to try this mod out.

c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II Total War/mods/EBII. windows 7, 64bit.
I downloaded the torrent version of 2.01. I don't know if the files are damaged or incomplete.

Tell me if this fixes it:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hkp8ipgxtb...n_fix.rar?dl=0
Go to M2TW\mods\EBII\data, and extract it there over the original content.
But first be sure to backup those files.
the files fixed the crash, but now i'm getting blurring at the top and bottom of the screen during battles. think i need to re-download EBII.
I'm also having this problem and downloaded the fix but i'm still getting the crashes. did re-downloading work?
Re-downloaded 4 times, still crashing
Do you use any submods?
If not download this:

and upload the logs.

Also do you have a clean Medieval 2 kingdoms?
You have both the steam version?
First thing to do for WINDOWS 7, 8 or VISTA Steam Users: edit the security of your ...\steam\steamapps\common\ Medieval 2 Total War
Also destination folder of EB2 Installers is: your ...\steam\steamapps\common\ Medieval 2 Total War
After installing EB2, do not rename EBII located in your ...\steam\steamapps\common\ Medieval 2 Total War\ mods folder, use either one of these methods:
Method 1)
Make copy of medieval2.exe located in your main .\steam\steamapps\common\ Medieval 2 Total War folder
Rename to kingdoms.exe
Start your mod through regular BAT file ( the one present on your desktop as a Shortcut, or, the one present in your EB II folder)
Method 2)
Change launch.BAT file present in your EBII folder (right click on file, choose 'edit'): replace kingdoms.exe entry part with medieval2.exe:
cd ..\..
start kingdoms.exe @mods\EBII\EBII.cfg
to
cd ..\..
start medieval2.exe @mods\EBII\EBII.cfg
Save the file, and Exit.
Start your mod through regular BAT file ( the one present on your desktop as a Shortcut, or, the one present in your EBII folder)
Method 3)
Use Universal Batch File: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?661279
