Default (Upcoming) SCUM: Europa Barbarorum II Edition

    What is S.C.U.M.?
The "Small Campaign and Unit subMod" is a little mod that i started a few months ago for De Bello Mundi that began with a few unit retextures and grew into something much bigger. The idea was that I'd tailor De Bello Mundi to my own liking, and in doing so i thought maybe i should share my work with TWC. Even before Europa Barbarorum came out, I knew I would do some modding for the mod eventually, so here we are - "SCUM: Europa Barbarorum II Edition"!
Although this is not a release of any kind, it is a heads up. I have started and finished porting/creating some units. You can see some of the most interesting units and features in screenshots somewhere below. Don't expect too much soon with EBII still being early beta.

What is included in this submod?

So far I have ported Polybian Principes from SCUM: DBM and created a hybrid Spartan unit from midnite's DBM Spartans and Achilles' Spartan unit for Europa Barbarorum II. These Spartans are made to be the Hellenic Alliance's answer to the Macedonian elite hoplites.

    Future plans
Currently I plan on merging Europa Barbarorum II and De Bello Mundi in terms of Roman units. I will most likely replace the Polybian Hastati that already exists in game with the unit in DBM. I'm not touching the Camillian units. I am also going to bring in the DBM Legionary system where there will be several historically accurate Legions that are only recruitable in their home regions. Unlike DBM however, I shall also employ the same idea with the Auxiliary units. All post-marian work from DBM will only come when EBII has been developed into the post-marian stages.

Roman unit animation and roman unit from de bello mundi is better, but full mod - history campaign map and all units from all nation factions (no roman) EB2 is better.

sorry for my **** english )

my idea is to bring some of the customised parts of S.C.U.M. in DBM and put them into a new mod for EB2. it will still be EB, but with a little DBM touch to it in terms of roman units. plus with EB2 im going to try keep units historical

Indeed. It's tough to play the romans now knowing they can't have the proper reforms :S. Don't want to fight the parthians with Camillian looking units

thing is that the polybian troops in vanilla EB2 are the exact same camillan models excluding the hastati.

by the way, if anyone has any requests as to what they want to see in the mod (particularly romans), just comment and ill see what i can do. Don't bother if you want region-specific legions - you can have them as soon as EB has the marian reforms

It's not connected to your mod, but could you help me with a tutorial about importing animations from other mods? There was one here, but try as I might I can't find it.
In another discussion, the one about physics in the main forum, k/t mentioned that the RC animations include an aggresive stance for sword units that pushes forward, that the team used for anti-pike units. I'm trying to see whether that could be implemented for EB2, since legionaries and other heavy infantry would benefit greatly from such an animation. I remember there was one tutorial about creating an animation for musketeers in M2TW, but I really can't find it, even though I've looked through almost all the tutorials in the mod workshop list of tutorials.

I have a (maybe silly) question for ipwnu678: why don't you collaborate officially with the EB team or become part of the team?
So avoiding you two to do things twice, and making official your great work for EB.
Sorry if this may sound meddling but was just an honest doubt.

ipwnu678, I loved your S.C.U.M mod in DBM, it was great and had the best looking Legionaries, please do make a version of your mod here. I can't wait.

I can try to make the Spartans in my mod to use spears overhand, but I cant promise that it will look good, neither that the length of the spears will be correct. But I can try if you want.
btw if you need any help with adding units to the game, descriptions or textures/gloss maps I'm offering myself. I'm neither a great or veteran modder, but I know how much time it takes to edit anything in M2TW.
    Cheers.

He did say that roman would be getting some changes after EBII has covered the reform, which is not done atm.

I have a question : is really too difficult to import units from other mods to EB 2?
