Missing Executable

I just reinstalled M2TW and now if I try to play the game I get this. Does anybody know what to do?

Money says you have a campaign or a mod looking for kingdoms.exe or launcher.exe and they no longer exist.

This is just... ugh. I have 3 hours to myself after work/school and so far today I've spent 2 hours trying to figure this stupid problem out. Makes me sad.

I'm having the same problem, however I am terrible with figuring out how to resolve this. I was trying to be smart and figure out the problem myself and deleted some files off steam (related to medieval II total war). Now I can't play the vanilla game or kingdoms expansion. Now I get the same message. I had figured out how to play third age dac for awhile, but then I stopped playing for a few months. <---- that's just to give you a reference of my zenith of experience with playing mods.... I have tried to uninstall and re-install the game on steam, but the problem persists. If I could get any help with this I would greatly appreciate it

By the way, after CA tried combining medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe into one medieval2.exe and failde miserably, there is no more launcher.exe, kingdoms.exe, and when you check the properties the new medieval2.exe you will find it is really a new version of kingdoms.exe.

There is a whole new way of getting Kingdoms mods to work on Steam. Vanilla mods no longer work on Steam. http://forums.totalwar.com/forumdisp...l-II-Total-War Where it all started July, 2014.

Thanks for the info! I had the same problem with M2TW; every time I tried to install, only the mods folder was downloaded. I took your advice and, turns out, over 600 files were invalid, LOL! Don't ask me how it happened but everything's working smoothly, now. That's what matters, haha.
