The Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition is upon us. The definitive version of ROME II is now available for PC and Mac via SteamPlay at your trusted retailer. If you’re an existing owner of ROME II and have automatic updates enabled, Steam will update the game to the Emperor Edition for free.


Alongside all previously released updates and free content it comes with significant improvements to the politics system and civil war mechanic, an overhaul of the building chains, extensive rebalancing of the campaign as well as land and naval battles, an improved UI, tweaked and improved graphics and more. So, it has not been released in the BENELUX.
Didnt get an update for Rome 2, but did get a 0bytes update for Shogun2.

The UI seems mostly the same visuals wise, except the whole "white theme" in main menu and such (which I like). Visuals wise it's hard to say... I turned off (I think I did, I'm not sure if it worked, it might still have effect) GEM and Aztecs and such, and it looks good still. Hard to say how much improvement it is for vanilla tought. Have to try with GEM and such again. Still no proper AA-options tought

But the change in lightning for portraits looks better imo.

I'm in the EE right now as Anthony. Was hoping for more campaign map changes, but the map feels smoother anyway.

Just tested it in my break for 10min. Holy damn the new graphics made a huge change for me. I love it !! The whole battle feels different. The units looks are much clearer (dont know how to discribe it). Everything looks nicer now.
Can't wait to test it after work.

Why dont people get this?
ALL MODS BECOME CORRUPTED WHEN THEIRS A NEW PATCH/CAMPAIGN.

So you'll have to wait, to play the DEI mod on a new campaign, cause of the massive overhauling of this patch.
I'm waiting for the dresden mods updates.
Anyway: patch downloaded and ready to play.
