    Default Can anyone assist? Experiencing a custom unit variant bug.

    I'm definitely a novice when it comes to unit modding but the process seemed fairly straight forward so I jumped right in. I made custom variants with the variant editor for Carthage's generals but in-game I am receiving a strange graphical bug where the models/meshes are doubled, or competing with each other.

    If any knows the issue here please inform because I would like to get these working so I can release them in this submod.

    Looks to me like the unit has two references to a skin type in the variant mesh (Eg: Skin set as Eastern, but also the armour chosen applying a greek skin).

    Check the armour isn't also giving a skin type, you can also make a custom armour without skin if that is the issue.

    Well actually, The variant shown in the screen is one of the variants I did not in fact touch up myself, I simply swapped the name of the definition with another general variant-- I swapped Car_general_01 with Car_general_17, as well as their battle variants.

    So I am confused as to why THAT would cause this sort of bug. The others that I DID touch up myself are showing the same bug as the swapped definition names.

    And I also made no changes to armor, I only edited cloaks, helmets, beards.

    i am sooooooooooo annoyed lol found out the issue was on my end. for whatever reason I was using CloseCombat in conjunction with DeI. The good news is that means my general variants are all set! TESTED AND WORKING.

    please let me know what you guys think of them!

    lol looking closer I see your bug was much much worse :-p, like seeing double! No idea how that happens though I think I had that bug before when messing up a unit entry? Closecombat is a unit spacing mod? Maybe a bit too close!

    is CA modding tool better than pfm 3.2 for editing unit stasts? or faster?
