I hereby nominate Roma_Victrix for the Asterix's Loincloth, because I believe that through his excellent contributions to the humour department he has demonstrated a relentless interest in providing good times for all of us here. He is also renowned among his peers for bringing forth some of the bizzare most unusual topics (1, 2, 3... n) a fact that is almost impossible to deny. Roma_Victrix... Celebrity impersonator, globetrotter, master historian, linguist, forum entertainer, and keen observer of the weirdest regions of the Internet. Let's provide our Amerikanskij friend over here with a piece of Loincloth to cover his private parts in case he decides to go for a swim in some Russian icy lake, shall we?

The candidate does not meet this requirement, hence the proposal is invalid.

The Putin thread alone has more humor in it than I've seen from all Loincloth holders put together in the past year. The man clearly deserves it.

How long till the 6 month period passes?

This is not for me to state, I suggest to just ask himself - which should've been done before this proposal was started.

Moderation history is between a user and moderation only - with the exception that in proposals such as this, it is mentioned whether or not a candidate qualifies with regards to formal requirements. Hence all I will tell you is what I've already said with regards to the requirements.

Oh. My apologies to Aik in that case.

Anyway, I've spoken to Roma. He does indeed have an infraction from the 26th of March 2014. I say we should just continue with this thread and only give him the award after the 26th - if he passes of course. There's no point in archiving this thread only to restart it in a couple of days.

Then this award cannot be moved to vote until the 29th (earliest), the 26th is when he becomes eligible to be nominated, plus the 3 days of discussion before the thread can be moved to vote.

It is up to the proposer what he would like to do with this thread until then.

The decision is up to Taximinus as it is his proposal.

He is not a citizen, hence it is not his decision. You posted it, it's your proposal, so it's your decision. Take it.

You where bringing it up though, a PM to the proposer should have been sufficient so that he can withdraw his medal proposal instead of publicly hanging the candidate telling everyone that he has an infraction.

It was and is common practice to state objections publicly. And as far as I remember a proposer is responsible for his proposition, be it citizenship or a medal. If proposers don't do their job propper, I suggest to not blame it on somebody else.

Whenever somebody is proposed for an award in the Curia, he will be scrutinized in public, if you object to that, better not propose in the first place.

Whichever the procedure, it is a long time I have been away from curial procedures.
