RTW BI 1.6 patch issue

Hi

So I'm trying to patch my BI from 1.4 to 1.6, I downloaded the 1.6 patch however when it goes to install it says there is no prior version of BI installed. Does anyone know any solutions, didn't know if there was a thread of this already.

When you start BI, what is the version number on the Options page?

BI was released 1.4 way back when after the RTW 1.3 patch.

Is the patch you downloaded the same language version with your game ? I don't exactly remember for RTW/BI but like M2TW there's different patch for different version (like US version is different from UK/EU version).

The patch is in English but when It does to install it says no prior version of BI found, I'm patched to 1.4 already and I did download it (i have BI on disk). Im just wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem or If I need to reinstall BI and RTW?

As asked before what is the RTW version?

If it's 1.5 already it may need to go back to 1.3. 1.5 for RTW and 1.6 for BI are in the same patch.

When you install BI form the BI disc it supposed to update RTW to 1.3. If it did not, one big reason the patch won't update BI to 1.6. The patch will not take RTW from 1.0 to 1.5 for you.

I use my BI to update my RTW before installing the patch.

I've reinstalled BI and it updated rome to 1.3. I think my issue may have been I installed 1.3 again which may have screwed things up.

So will I need to install the 1.5 and 1.6 or just 1.6?

Try the BI patch. If RTW is 1.3 and BI is 1.4, it should install.
