Thread: RELEASED (pre-alpha)

I've downloaded the mod and i love what i see, the map and all the minor settlements... Lot's of work and research there. This is by far the most ambitious medieval mod. There are still a lot of features missing so i hope you get more developpers joining you so it can reach a more playable status as soon as possible.

I love more then unit cards is unit models.

So, how is it coming along ? When can we expect the first patch ? And I want to know who exactly applied for development because I want to rep and heap praise on them

You need to swap the extensions as mentioned in the OP by the links.

You have downloaded files called Dominion_of_the_Sword.001.7z - 005.7z because FileFront does not allow non-standard extensions (like 001-005). Therefore you need to swap the 7z with the number to get Dominion_of_the_Sword.7z.001 - 005. You get likely confused because you have file extensions disabled on your system.

Well, this pre-alpha is quite unplayable, but the few i could see is very impressive. This mod is in a good way to become one of the best mod, altough there are already so many awesome mods for MedII.

I'm really amazed by the number of settlements, and the victory conditions : 5 provinces to held, wow that so few compary to vanilla or other mod, it gives me an indication about how it will be hard ^^

And i just want to report a very little error for France : the minor settlements of Annecy and Chamery are reversed. In fact, Annecy is in north of Chambery (I live there ^^).

This being said, i really want to congratulate all the modding team for this amazing job.

If help is needed about french stuff (names, cities, units names, etc), i can help.

    Thanks a lot !

I just noticed another small errors on the campaign map of (modern) France :

"Ile de Ré" is a settlement : in fact, it's an island (the small island close to La Rochelle), so the position is wrong. The settlement in this place could be the town of Luçon, or move this settlement on the island.

"Cotentin" is a settlement : in fact, Cotentin is a part of Normandy. The most important city of this area was (and still is) Cherbourg.

Aside from new content created we are now trying to fix various CTDs that you guys have found/reported or we stumbled upon them. Until they are fixed the patch won't be released so hopefully we can sort that out (asked HELP for help already with it). Thanks for your patience.

Currently we are discussing climate types for the map, some PSF script hiccups and UI cards for buildings. Since we have so many new building types and categories, many of which are more like 'edicts' and 'decrees' rather than true solid buildings then we have some issues on how to represent them since M2TW has very limited UI images. So my current idea is to add images from the original MTW, this kind of look which I think compliments the M2TW images.

I agree. MTW's UI images look suitable.
