Oh yeah he did impress me in the world cup as well. Its just amazing, last season he played for granada, only scored twice.
Now he is scoring allmost every game, and being extremely crucial ( very young too, alot of Porto players this season are quite young).
Aparently it was historic record, for FC Porto and for an Algeri- arab player in champions history.

    You mean Remey.
there is remy, but Schurrle can do it too if im not mistaken. But yeah Remy would be first choice for that position imo. The thing is can Remy play 90 minutes or not?

You bought Remy to be second choice striker, Schurrle can play there but is poor.

I was watching the highlights, what exactly were Arsenal defenders doing on the first goal? Touching themselves?

Totti is pure class, his goal was a touch of elegance. Plus, those Nike Tiempo boots with the tongue always make me chuckle

    Great match PSG - Barcelona.

Why is it that Italian players have such long lived high performance careers? Maldini, del Piero, Buffon, Totti, Pirlo, Conte, Cannavaro, Inzaghi, Gattuso. All of them were still playing, and doing very well, at major clubs at ages like 35 or 36. Comparatively Balkan players usually fizzle out by the time they hit 32. See Mutu, Chivu, Ilie, Stoichkov, Zagorakis

Because Italians spend half of their time pretending of being bulldozed.

Think it's due to the respective culture; they're basically schooled to exceed the physical factors and rely on mental/technical strengths and tactical prowess. Probably goes back to Pozzo, the development after WWII and a general perception to have been "physically inferior" to british teams.

Most careers go downhill past their 30th birthday. Not exclusive to Balkan players. Additionally Chivu had massive injury problems throughout his career while Mutu had his nose up in cocain and pornstars, which both shortens the career span considerably.
