    Default Who uses and likes projectile trails?.

    Well currently mine is not working but it has led me to a question i would like to ask, as a person who likes them(projectile trails) i know alot of people who loathe them as they like the reality side of things. Am i unique on this or is there others who play with them on?, also if so is yours working fine with patch 14?.

    It would have been interesting to poll this, I do like the fact CA made it togglable but a general consensus will do. Thanks

    Projectiles worked great in Med 2. They should get back to that.

    I keep them enabled simply because it's easier to see who they are targeting.

    I use them. It's too hard to see the missile fire without them, been a problem for almost every TW game with bows!

    I never use them, it's too ugly and unrealistic for me.
    I admit you need a little amount of time to get used to but I don't have any problem about seeing the targets (doing it for years, probably used to).

    I use them because otherwise I have no idea which unit is shooting which unit and from where,but I definitely don't like them.I think they must be toned down a lot.

    The feature isn't a make or break for me. I use them occasionally, but of late - especially with Rome 2 - I'm not really bothering. That said, for Shogun (and Empire and Napoleon) I'm inclined to keep them just to make sure the firearms are

    Shogun 2, Empire and Napoleon I prefer them if only to help me keep an eye on my lines of fire.

    I haven't downloaded Patch 14 yet so can't help you out there sorry.

    I don't use them. Horrible things. IT's easy to tell where they're firing either by logical extrapolation or just zoom in quick and take a view. Glad CA gave the option to remove them. Smart move.

    I also believe it improves framerates in some cases.

    That's actually my main reason for not having them on in Rome 2. I'm also mainly playing with DEI so all those bodies and textures, anything that can help out the fps is most welcome. Guess a sign I should upgrade PCs.

    I'd prefer it, if they were somewhere in the middle. Currently, they are too bright and I agree with Pasan, that the trails of MII were ideal. At least, they have been toned down, since the marketing pics.

    It is too practical to not use, not that i mind them to begin with.

    The trails can be turned off never used them. But the ugly fire arrow and smoke effects not!. CA needs to work on those effects...

    Guess what? You wouldn't see much in real life either until people fell over in pain.

    I'm glad they became optional. They are an immersion breaker for me. Never use them.

    in real life you didn't get a birds eye view either so I don't really see your point

    Who cares? This isn't a competition of who can make their game the most authentic. It's just people tweaking options to make the game fun for them...

    It was alright in RTW and M2TW. I don't understand why CA changed it.

    Why keep something not broken ? I guess.

    I like to see who my/enemy missile units are targeting. I also often ignore enemy missile units entirely because I don't realize they're attacking (e.g. slingers).
