    Default [POLL] Age of Petty Kings Future Plans - WIP 2.0 Preview on Page 2

    Now that we have released Age of Petty Kings 1.0, we have a lot of options wide open to us. We would like to give you all some input on where we take this mod next so please vote on the options I have listed above. If you have other ideas feel free to share them in the comments. However, keep in mind we are constrained by M2TW hard limits, so I we can't just go and include all of Essos in the mod as well. I feel that the above options are reasonable things we can set out on accomplishing.

    If possible I think conversion to the new map would be nice, but that would take a lot of time I am sure and also the one currently released is a little under fleshed. Perhaps wait until the full version is out, but it seems like to much is currently on hold for that.

    I personally believe that changing the time period would be a massive disservice to the amazing mod you have.
    more settlements, heraldry and AOR units sounds pretty great though

    Diversity of units is what makes M2TW so great. Especially with so many factions there is a great opportunity to really give each different faction its own feel. Great stuff AdmiralThrawn! I can't wait to see how this mod progresses.

    What would the point have been to make Age of Petty Kingdoms if you would plan for 2.0 to be converted to any other time period in Westeros history? You'd probably have to change the name of the sub mod if you, for example, chose to convert it to Winds of Winter, or the Blackfyre Rebellion seeing as how there is only one Kingdom in Westeros at those times. xD

    Might I add extended families? A faction like Estermont would greatly benefit from the idea of being 4 families ruled by 1. This way Wylde, Tarth, and Mjksldfsjdlk, would be able to inherit if Estermont died, but still marry and keep their lines going because they are the only 4 families in the faction anyway.

    Other than that, a crazy chance this could actually work, but if you conquer a faction, you should be able to not only get its units, but its lesser families.

    But mainly, unique units so each faction would be a little more diverse. I conquer a neighbor, but because they're still Andals I just lack the ability to easily heal my units. Really cool idea though!

    I'm pretty sure it can be done, but it would be a lot of work for little payoff in my opinion. You can always have multiple submods installed after all. Also it starts making the mod buggy, the more sub-campaigns the buggier it gets.

    Mertyns I assume. As for a second campaing it can be done, but it must include the same units. It would be cool though to have a second campaign with the KORAH setup (8 kingdoms instead of 29).

    Personally I like more factions than less. The largest thing for me in game right now is how House Bolton and House Stark have absolutely the same kind of units, the only differences being instead of "Stark Cavalry" for Bolton it would be "Bolton Cavalry". Imo the first thing you should focus on for 2.0 is AOR units. I think there should be more diversity. Also Admiral, I love you talking about a 2.0 right when you release the 1.0 xD.

    Yeah looking through the custom match all First Men kingdoms have the exact same unit roster as each other with variations of the names and same with the Andals. With the exception of House Volmont with their Vulture Guard.

    Yeah, creating 29 separate rosters is not feasible. However, AOR units will hopefully diversify that. I'm right now working on extending the map a bit. In 2.0 you can expect Mountain Clans, Bear Island, and Skagos.

    I have an interesting proposal. If I remove House Sunderland from the mod, I could then include the Night's Watch and Wildlings. However, this would be a major time commitment and would significantly delay the release.

    They die immediately, or soon after almost all the time from my experience.

    Also, what does AOR mean?

    Hoare dies immediately and i personally don't like the hole "They are Andals" thing. Where did that come from btw?
    I'd much rather have House Sunderland in the game, who has great potential and is a first for any Submod, compared to Hoare who always dies and is nothing new.

    Well, lore-wise the Iron Islands were conquered by Andals who then assimilated to the local faith and culture. Since the Greyirons were destroyed and replaced by the Hoares around this time I put 2 and 2 together .

    "The Hoares were the High Kings of the Iron Islands after the Andal settlers on the islands ended the rule of House Greyiron."
