Thread: Nothing. Is. Working.

    Icon8 Nothing. Is. Working.

I downloaded this mod last night and I was so excited to play it! But then Barbarian Invasion turned into the normal Rome.

Then I changed the preferences in launch on steam, and I get the load screen before the sega logo and before the logo...it crashes.

Then I decided to use this launch by Paedric, and this failed.

Please, for the Love of God...someone help me!

    did you modify the shortcut?

The shortcut that you will see on your desktop will be useless.
In order to get the shortcut working correctly, create a new shortcut from the Barbarian Invasion.exe and in the command line replace with the following:
    "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi/hcs -show_err -nm

or if this is not your directory, simply use the command extension:
    -mod:bi/hcs -show_err -nm

can you writhe a bit more what you´ve done?

a vanilla rtw/bi is needed. you can look inside the bi folder if you find a hcs folder, it´s ok. if not - then your install is wrong. then check the shortcut.

The shortcut is broken - you will have to edit it so that it runs the mod. To do this:
    1. Create a shorcut of the RomeTW-BI.exe to your desktop
    2. Edit the properties so that the Textbox Target is, "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi/hcs -show_err -nm
or wherever your Rome Total War is installed,
    3. Edit the Start In Textbox so that it is, "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War"
or wherever your Rome Total War is installed,
    4. Run the shortcut.
