Hello there everyone, I've taken the time to go through every unit you get in the Daughters Of Mars unit pack, their strengths, weaknesses, locations and more so you can make an informed purchase! I also give you my thoughts on the DLC in general.
For those that don't know, The Daughters of Mars adds several new units to the suebi including many female units as faction specific units and as mercenaries across the grand campaign.

Free female warrior units: · Hex-Bearers (infantry, sword and shield): new Suebi garrison unit. · Amazonian Riders (cavalry, bow): can be recruited by Royal Scythia, or as mercenaries in Sarmatia, Ponto-Caspia and Scythia. · Scythian Noblewomen (cavalry, bow): can be recruited by Royal Scythia
Free Suebi roster-update units:
· Horse Runners (infantry, javelin skirmishers): · Spear Wall (infantry, spear and shield): · Round Shield Swordsmen (infantry, sword and shield): · Riders of the Hunt (cavalry, spear):
Everything else, is Paid DLC in the Daughters of Mars.

As long as you CA keep the updates coming and the game getting better Im happy. Not really happy with paid dlcs like this, but figure this will not stop, so I just dont fight it anymore.
Can I ask if these unit packs add any new tactics, features or skill sets that I can see tangibly?
In other words apart from stats they are just flavour units right?
Sail your ship as part of a fleet. Devs previously worked on: Darthmod, World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, RaceRoom, IL2-Sturmovik, Metro, STALKER and many other great games..
Right. I have nothing against seeing the other gender in games, or in Total War.
I have everything against CA taking something that was asked for (not like this mind you) and then turning it into a paid DLC. And... doesn't that female model look like the one from the War Maiden unit?! Sorry, this is just plain bad, bad, bad representation, historical accuracy thrown against the wall... uh... just... CA. Stahp.

As far as I can tell so far, they're just flavourered units. I've started a new campaign as Suebi to play around with their new roster and got to use their new garrison unit a few times. It's terrible at actually fighting but if you use the morale debuff at the right time, they have the same impact as light cavalry ^^
Darren not only are your videos well done but for some reason your voice is just...calming...It's nice, don't take it the wrong way it just adds to the enjoyment of the videos. I'm actually stoked to try the new DLC that I finally got today... A-historical or not these units should add some fun flavor to the game. I mean a spear/archer unit...only EB touches on that. Sounds fun.
