Simple enough question, with the beta close enough to touch, what will be the first faction you try, and why?
Pergamon or Koinon Hellenon, I'm interested in Hellenic factions but less in phalanx based mixed cultured successor states.
I like migrating, I might take this factions and migrate them as well.
Probably Pahlava, Saka Rauka or Sauromatae because I like cavalry based factions
Though it isnt in my top 3 favorite EB1 factions (Casse, Romani and Ptolemaioi), im probably going to pick Epeiros.
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

Arche Aiakidae-Epeiros EB2 AAR
Romani first, then Makedonia or the Seleucids.
Getai, Sweboz or Boii.
Hayasdan
I'm drinking wine and eating cheese, and catching some rays, you know
Since I may not yet vote on this poll (I believe I haven't been on the board long enough) - Romani. There are other factions like the Pritanoi I'm looking forward to, but my first playthrough will be under the wings of the mighty senate of Rome.
To answer my own question, I'm going to take Epeiros and migrate them (either to Massalia or Kyrene, not decided yet). Since we could get stopped by a non-savegame-compatible bug at any time in this first release, I'd rather not play something I'm going to get too attached to. Plus I'm more likely to break something (and thus find bugs) doing something you're not supposed to.
First Nabata, then Pergamon and Taksashilla

First Swźboz, then Boioi or Pritanoi
Getae.
Seleukeia. First I will restore the empire of Alexandros and then I will procede to conquer those pesky cities of Roma and Karkhedon. Afterwards I will play Baktria campaign.
Probably lugiones.
Probably Pergamon. Although their unit roster wont be very unique, i expect a hard and fast campaign (because of the not to extended vicotry conditions).
Their victory conditions are quite ambitious - rebuild the Thraikian Kingdom of Lysimachos, which covers Asia Minor and Thrace. I'm not sure that would be a fast campaign, since you'd be contesting with the Seleukids, Ptolemies and Pontos in Asia, and Makedonia and Getai in Thrace.
