    Default [DEI 0.95] Slower Battle Mod

    Again I have updated the slower battle mod that goes back seemingly generations of DEI releases. This one is compatible with 0.95 as far as I have tested.

    However, with this release I have relented and removed the movement speed changes from the mod.

    THIS MOD BRINGS YOU:

    -Slower battles with a more prolonged melee.
    -Morale system tweaked slightly to compensate, but still overall retains the dynamic DEI flavour.
    -Unit fatigue altered to compensate for longer battles.
    -Combat animations are more fluid with the reduction in matched combat instances.

    THIS MOD DOES NOT​ BRING YOU:

    -Previous changes that removed unit running speed. I removed this because I felt it was too restrictive to General traits and Army traditions and may have dissuaded players from using this mod.

    OVERALL: This mod retains everything you love about DEI while providing slightly increased battle length for those of you who prefer the increased opportunity for tactics, unit-cycling, reserves, and the like.

    Download, put in data folder. Using the mod manager place this above DEI. That is all!

    I decided to give your mod a try and so far I am really enjoying it. Thanks for continuing this work. I have a quick question, how would I increase the upkeep for units?

    I haven't gone that deep into the pack files to find what values change unit upkeep. I would recommend exploring the pack yourself using the pack file manager, or asking one of the more serious modders how to achieve this. I change very few values with this mod, so I'm afraid I can't help you here .

    I have tried a custom battle with your mod, it convinced me not to remove it I'll use it for a while, and give some feedback!
    Good work, keep it up!

    So, after playing some time (about 150 turns as sparta).
    I have 2 issues:
    1. When i attack a settlement for instance, and i attack on multiple sides, sometimes when an enemy unit breaks and rout at 60-70% of manpower, they come back almost every time to the fight, and usually they routed towards the edge of the map, so they are now behind my attacking toops, and can rear charge them. And since the melee kills have been slowed down, its practically no use if my cav is pursuing them, sometimes they just stop routing when my cav is killing them, and that can hurt if the unit is a spear armed one So it would be nice if you could make routing units easier to kill in melee, or just make them shatter faster after they rout. This only happened a few times (when attacking unwalled settlements), but it can be very frustating.
    2. Since the battles tend to be more slower and longer, could you give more ammunition to ranged units? Javelins are fine but 1-2 + ammunition couldn't hurt, but bows, and slings are terrible, some damage boost or more ammo could help them i suppose.

    Apart from that two, i like your mod, as it really makes the animations more fluid, and i can still see some kills now and then.(i had a battle that took 50 mins, one of my spartan hoplite unit killed more than 220 man, so killing do happen over time)
