Mr J, I think you should make your own model, without touching the skeleton, cause if you touch the skeleton you will have to review every anim!

Yup, we had no success rescaling skeleton so only one way we choose atm is create models based on vanilla skeleton and use rescale function from db editing.

I have seen a lot of ereborian/moria armor, how about we get some armor the Iron Hillish soldiers?

Damn, that's hard to find. We will probably be able get more later.

Dwarves should fight on foot and only on foot.. Peter Jackson did a mistake when he puted a goat in the last Hobbit movie

Dwarves from the Iron Hills are the same house/familie of Dwarves as the Erebor ones it is the Durins Folk and they should have similar armor with a few changes..Also have in mind that dwarves of Erebor are mush richer than their brothers in the Iron Hills so they would have better equipment

We want to use the confederation-system to split the House of Durin in many subfactions: Erebor, Iron Hills, Blue Mountains and so on.
Erebor will be rich , but not as rich as in the movies.^^
And you won't see stupid things like goats, but they will have access to mercenaries from Dale.
We have A LOT of concept art for the dwarven units, so we are able to keep the factions individual, but with a main theme.

When you either conquer those factions or get in a confederation with them will you be able to recruit their units?

We've had to do this, it gets a similar result but not as good as it could be.

Did you try to make models itself a bit wider? It must make a dial. You can rescale feet so much as possible and even more than dwarven feet look like.

so you are going to split the big factions into more little factions...I would like option to play dwarves but all of them in one faction

A small Sneak Peek. Thanks to Grimnir for his awesome texture. We are going to finish a whole unit soon. Unfortunately the small body of the dwarves gives us troubles. That's why it takes so long. But after the release of the first unit, we can use it as a reference for all other units needed. This will increase the speed dramatically

Oh no no no no. Don't test me m8. The Iron Hills have huge supply of rich iron, tis why it's called the Iron Hills(you probably know this). With this iron they produce excellent weaponry and armor different to what you see in Erebor. Tolkien described them as on of the best warriors in the dwarven race and very well armored. Sure the rich and mighty Erebor could have bought some armor and metal but the speciality in troops stayed in the Iron Hills. Also in the movie you saw clear differences in the armor of the soldier of Erebor/Moria and the Iron Hills.

I dont know that part when Tolkien tells us about the military of the Iron Hills (but you are right that they have very good armor), have in mind that in the Hobbit there is a line where it is said that the dwarves of Erebor where the most powerful kingdom of Dwarves in ME (if we dont take in Khazad Dum cos it was taken by orcs ofc).. And also have in mind that the Dwarves of the Iron Hills were fewer in number than their kin in Erebor or Khazad dum so I dont think that they would be the military might of the Dwarves.. But that isnt the point cos they are like 1 kingdom after Dain Ironfoot became the King of Erebor he also remained the Lord of the Iron Hills

Indeed, Erebor is the most powerfull dwarven nation, this because they are the richest. However Tolkien described them like I said the best amonst them. Btw the Iron Hills perhaps had less dwarves but don't forget that a lot of dwarves from the Grey Mountains, Erebor and some of the other clans lived in the Iron Hills, still making it a lot.
