In Grammar Nazi Class, Pay Attention! Don't Be Late!
ACHTUNG!
Attention TWC: you are now all placed under an official interdict by order of the Fourth Reich to attend mandatory grammar lessons at your nearest posting station!
The Reich Chancellor has noticed your appalling use of grammar and has now tasked me to remedy this dire situation affecting the nation!
For many years I have seen otherwise decent patriots butcher the use of grammar in their sentences. The following mistakes will now be punishable by the full force of the law, and you will be given a trial without an attorney and one judge as your jury to decide your verdict and sentencing!
1) Use of the their, they're and they are, and there: pay attention to the examples that have been generously provided below! You should copy them into your notebooks and memorize them with rote memory exercises!
* There will be a cleansing of all foul and incorrect grammatical statements at the Total War Center (TWC) forums.
* There will be no excuse for committing further mistakes, which are tantamount to treason against TWC and are punishable by tickling to death.
* As for the rules, I believe they're just and fair, and comply with the standards of the Reich.
* As for the rules, they're not too hard to learn, so deliberate repeat offenders will be shot on sight and made an unperson.
* As for every person on TWC, it is their responsibility to uphold the grammar rules and report the grammar violations of others immediately to this thread!
* As for the perpetrators of incorrect grammar, their names will be blackened forever, their loved ones will receive no pensions from the state, and as a penalty all relatives will be conducted to the nearest labor camp facility for five years of reprogramming.
2) Use of your and you're: pay attention to the examples that have been generously provided below! You should copy them into your notebooks and memorize them with rote memory exercises!
* Your use of grammar should be flawless on TWC.
* Your life depends on it.
* The lives of your loved ones depend on your compliance with the rules. Comply with the rules!
* You're ultimately responsible for yourself, your own conduct, and the manner in which you construct proper sentences with clearly defined subjects, verbs, and predicates.
* You're willingly forfeiting your right to life and condemning your loved ones to glorious hard labor by using incorrect grammar and choosing the path of disobedience.
BE MINDFUL OF THE RULES! That is all.
I would advise all TWC members who are unsure about making grammatical mistakes to please report them here, so that they can be immediately screened and corrected here before you make such posts in other threads. If you properly follow the proper protocols, then all will be well and proper.
