red card saturday!
confused as to what was the referee criteria for Azpilicueta's straight red. was it a late foul? sure, but it wasn't particularly violent and he wasn't the last defender nor was it a goal-scoring opportunity. interesting to note is this ref hasn't given a red card in the premier league before.

Did Diamé grab Flaminis head for the equalizer?
That did not seem legit...
Also, Arsenal seem to be getting short of quality in the midfield. Did not see that happen before this season.
See result again
Smooth game for Chelsea, fearsome Oscar goal and first one for Fabregas.
you FA! Don't show Southampton matches in same time when Chelsea plays!
Brilliant game by Saints. Pelle 2 goals, Tadic 1 goal, 4 assists, total 7 assists ,equal to number of assists of Fabregas.
We were lucky to snatch the draw.
The ref was terrible.
Campbell and Bellerin worked well together.
Bellerin was one of the few bright spots for sure.
Foul for sure, but that still doesn't excuse our defending, especially Monreal's.
We are lacking in quality going forward, which is terrifying because we are not short of talent. When Ramsey was fit, we didn't look good. When Ozil was fit, we didn't look good. Today, we had Cazorla, Wilshere, Sanchez, Welbeck, and Ox out there. That's a lot of attacking talent, and you'd think this was a team of Gilberto Silvas playing wide right.
Arsenal have been very boring and frustrating to watch.
The poor defense is poor squad management by Wenger for not having sufficient number. The same excuse cannot be used for us going forward. We have plenty of talent, and Wenger is failing to put it together into a half-decent attacking force.
"My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the Arsenal is no more, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of gooner-ship, but it is not this day. An hour of Spuds and shattered cannons when theHighburyEmirates comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of North London!"

Thank god Southampton was supposed to be relegated after selling all their best players...
A team of Gilberto Silva's wouldn't concede two goals against Hull. There's nothing wrong with the quality of the players but there's very little cohesion going forward. When Campbell came on you could see the link up between him and Bellerin strait away. I bet that's two players who play those roles in the reserves and under 21's week in week out while the rest of the (1st) team are chopped and changed every game. Have we even sent out the same starting line up two games in a row yet?!
Same old problem, we dominate games but still concede goals from quick breaks. And Wenger turned down the option to buy Mo Diame for £3m two summers ago...
To me the two most embarrassing things about the Southampton result are:
- I can't even manage to rack up those kind of scorelines on FIFA
- I sold Pelle and Tadic in my first two seasons there in career mode

Caulker was expected to become great under the tutelage of experienced Rio Ferdinand.
But now he seem to be taking hints from Richard Dunne .
I am as amazed as you are. We didn't deserve that win today whatsoever- it was a terrible performance. Still, my nerves are severely shredded after those last few minutes. And 5th place doesn't look too shabby at all with all things considered.

I really feel dreadfully bad for QPR, I stopped watching at half time but I was shocked it wasn't 1-0 or even 2-1 for them by then. Then of course I read the reports and they've somehow ripped a victory out of the mess.

Funny thing about that game, if it wasn't for QPR defenders scoring own goals Balotelli would have scored twice..
On the other hand....

I honestly think you would have to add two more chances missed if it weren't for Dunne and Caulker yesterday. Not scoring yesterday was criminal.
Jesus we were lucky.
