    Default HTW 3.6 - Unit Stats and Structures

    Thanks to the brilliant work of fernavliz, we no longer really need to translate unit stats. However, the program is still under development and can still make mistakes. To obtain a copy of Vanilla 3.6 unit stats, simply download it from the quoted post below.

    To make your life easier, remember the CTRL+F functionality to quickly search for what you are looking for. You can also download Notepad++ which is an improved version of the normal Notepad application.

    Before any real balancing can begin you are going to need a "benchmark" faction from which you will use as a marker when referencing all of the other factions.

    For example, the Kingdom of Hyrule. If you balance them out so that they are average and well rounded. you can use them as a marker through which you can test the strength of the other factions.

    Aye, I was going for the same approach when I suggested a Balance Overhaul. Alas, the community wishes to work with what is currently present, so I guess that's the route we are going to go for.

    Still, stabilizing Hyrule and having a baseline or constant will help matters significantly.

    Any progress is likely good progress. However, I believe tf_ volunteered to manage balancing efforts, so it may be better discussing the matter with him.

    Currently I'm just trying to keep things organized to provide a foundation for community efforts for 3.6 while translating the unit data. Once we have the numbers accessible to everyone, it should be easier to start making comparisons and changes instead of play testing constantly.

    If it makes life a little easier, here's the translated units for Lanayru Province - Lanayru Unit Descr TXT.txt

    By the way, I think the costs section runs a little differently than what we've used. Instead of two weapon upgrade costs, I suspect that's the weapon upgrade cost, then the armour upgrade cost, then the custom battle cost, then the custom battle limit, then the cost ramp for passing that limit (which is why the last number is 99999 rupees each on the last number)...

    I have translated the hylian barracks building line. Something I want to make clear is that the settlement level is not the level of the actual settlement, but the building. This is just because how the mod works. All the buildings actually require a village level settlement, and most require the settlement building line.

    Hello again. Two things:

    1.- I have a doubt. How do you read the recruitment time,cost,upgrades,custom,etc in the export_descr_unit.txt file? For example, What do these means?:
    stat_cost 2, 900, 50, 75, 60, 900, 1, 900
    stat_cost 1, 810, 0, 90, 70, 1000, 1, 99999
    stat_cost 3, 600, 50, 90, 70, 600, 2, 600

    I made my program to interpret to something, But I donīt know if there are wrong. I see from left to right: recruitment time, recruitment cost, upkeep, weapon upgrade, armor upgrade, Custom battle cost, Custom battle limit, I dont know and I dont use it.


    2.- My progress so far: the program can now see unit mass, attributes, secondary stats with weapon type and attribute, fatigue bonus in snow,sand,etc.., and recruitment time, cost, upkeep, [with doubts]. It has consumed me so much time. I still need to change the program for the primary weapon to be able to detect if it is missile or melee.     Your right on the money. From left to right. recruitment time Recruitment cost, upkeep, weapon upgrade, armor upgrade, custom battle cost, how many allowed before to many selected (or how many turns until next available unit, I am not certain of this one) and the additional cost added if you go over the limit.

    (not certain myself but that seems to be how it works from my experience)

    What should i improve [Beside the first attack]?


    The defense skill of the Darknut units is far too low. in vanilla medeival 2, most knights would have an average of 5-7 defense skill, and elites may have 8-9. Seeing that the Darknuts are the finest swordsmen in hyrule, having 4 defense skill seems quite low. (the equivilant of a standard foot soldier straight out of the barracks). The initiates should have about 5, and every unit up from them about 6-7. the deities should probably have 9-10, as they have multiple lifetimes of experience under their belts.

    The initiates also do not need a shield rating, because they aren't using a shield.

    Every unit stats translated/simplified (except boats and peasants) using my program:

    EDU 3.6 Simplified(P0.1) .txt

    I make all the effort to make it the most trustworthy/reliable possible, but either way it can still have mistakes, like showing empty stats (or missing stats in some cases). It is intended that if the unit has no missile type (or siege) as weapon, it doesnīt show the distance or the ammo per unit. It is also intended that if the secondary attack or the secondary armor is equivalent of 0, it will not show their other respective stats (secondary weapon, armor, secondary defensive skill, etc.).For the attributes and weapon attribures, the program copy all the text of that line, so some attributes like ap or bp are just copied and not properly translated (because it would require some more time that I donīt have). [ap is armor piercing[target half armor] and bp is body piercing[pass trough bodies]].

    Talking about time, I see Ironic that I have time to make the program because I could not run HTW 3.6 properly (It just says that the program stopped running). Iīm redownloading it again and I hope this time works.

    I have noticed that the weapon and armor upgrade stats have not been considered. I didnīt considered for the program as there are not so many upgrades for the units. Tell me if the result has any mistakes, so I might improve the program.

    EDIT: I noticed that my program doesnīt take the primary weapon stats if the primary weapon is "noproj". But the other units should have the correct stat. I checked some and they are correct [checked like 20 of 500].
    Sidenote: I managed to run the game. I donīt know if I messed up something with the KingdomsLauncherApp.exe [I have the steam version of the game], but by using the trick of renaming the folder to "americas" I can now play the game.

    That text file is impressive fernavliz.

    Has anyone figured out how to get the building info yet? I'm beginning to think that the Spirit Temple doesn't recruit Knuckles properly.

    Only Bronze Knuckles. Iron Knuckles are not supposed to be recruitable.
