On a quiet Summer's day, a lone warship can be seen approaching the island of Ghaston Grey from the East. The ship, a somewhat aged and worn war galley, flies the the sigil of House Hightower upon its sails. A raven is sent ahead to request a meeting with the Lord with mentions of a trade proposal.

The party disembark at the small dockyard that clings to the edge of the island and are escorted into the fortress by two soldiers. Large parts of the fortress are in partial ruin, but it is evident work is ongoing to repair them, and the rocky island still presents a formidable defence. Walking up staircases carved into the rock, and across a small drawbridge, they enter into the fortress itself. The depths of the rocky island house a vast prison, but the above-ground levels are not unlike most other castles in Dorne. Again, work is evident: the many pillars and archways seem freshly painted, it is evident that cracks and chips in the floor have been recently filled, and large piles of wood and stone slabs testify to the ongoing nature. It would seem whoever the Warden now was, he sought to create a welcoming and well-maintained upper fortress, with the lower fortress remaining unseen to the trading party and probably far less pleasant.

Entering the Hall itself they are met by Lord Ghaston. It was evident he was not ethnically Dornish, though he was dressed in the custom. His hair was light brown, cut short and matched with a well-trimmed beard, and his skin was white rather than the Dornish olive. His accent was not Dornish either: he sounded like most noblemen of the central Reach-Crownlands-Riverlands-Westerlands area.

The Hall was relatively busy: craftsmen laboured in a corner, on scaffolding, to repair a large hole in the ceiling into a room above, and around a dozen Guards stood in various alcoves. A scribe sat in a small desk near the Lord's seat and the Measter, too, was at a small desk writing away.

"Welcome to Ghaston Grey," he said warmly, standing as he said so, "I am Lord Ghaston, Warden of the Island's prison and Lord of the Island itself. What brings you here?"

"I come on behalf of House Hightower with a trade proposal for yourself Lord Ghaston. I am Ser Tommen Hightower of Oldtown. My father has sent me on a year long trade mission throughout Westeros to establish trade lanes and enhance our relationship with the other regions after the war as well as to reaffirm our trade routes with the Free Cities. Now I have returned from my long voyage and i have made my last stop here to Ghaston Grey before I go home." said Ser Tommen.

"House Hightower offers you the best fruit from the Reach, grown in the most fertile lands of the Reach in exchange for your famous Dornish horses. If you would prefer instead, wine made from said fruit then I would be happy to trade that with you as well."

"Wine is in short supply here," said Ghaston, "The isle is not used to highborn living here permanently. I shall sell you steeds and you shall sell me wine!"

"Excellent. I am happy that we can come to an agreement." said Ser Tommen. He signaled for one of his guards who promptly left the room and returned a few minutes later with a few cases of wine. "As a gesture of good faith, I am happy to present you with several cases of wine free of charge, Lord Ghaston. Please enjoy."

The merchant ship which pulled in to the dock bore no house sigil, and the men who disembarked kept themselves well-cloaked.

"We are here to see Lord Ghaston, about a proposal of trade."

The men kept tightly together, not knowing if the Dornishmen here would attempt anything violent with the Stormlanders.

As soon as one of the dornish guards looked at them for identification, they timidly revealed the Nightingale of House Caron.

The men were shown into the Hall, albeit under heavy and suspicious guard: Stormlanders and Dornishmen were not the friendliest of neighbours at the moment. They met with Lord Ghaston, a man of light hair and light skin: potentially a Dornishman from the mountains where they resembled Andals.

"I understand you wish trade?" asked Ghaston, whose accent was clearly not Dornish in any sense. He was nobility from the middle of Westeros somewhere.

Relaxing at the voice of the lord, the Stormlanders stood straighter. Perhaps Lord Caron was right to single out this particular lord, of all those residing to the south.

"Yes, my Lord Ghaston. Lord Caron is willing to provide your household with a surplus of armour, freshly forged by th blacksmiths of Nightsong. In return, an exchange of your renowned horses."

The knight had been a part of Lord Estermont's host during the war, and fought at Storms End. Even if the battle had been a defeat for the Dornish, those mounts were clearly a higher rank than those used by the Stormlanders.

"Armour would be of great use here," said Ghaston, stroking his short, well-kept beard, "I will agree with this trade. Horses raised by the men of these Isles will be exchanged for shipments of the famous Stormforged plate!"

The small group of Stormlanders nodded in thanks, carefully depositing a small crate of breast-plates they had carried with them. Within were only a dozen pieces, but they were heavy.

"With your leave, we will return to Nightsong with these good tidings."

And with that, the men left, faintly surprised that the Dornishmen seemed civil enough.

Riders meet Lord Ghaston at the shore with his troops, bearing the banner and the word of the Prince:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

It appears that the insurgents are converging towards Sunspear, I want you to personally take Yronwood down. Take the levies of the Ghost Hills and my 2100 levy from Sunspear (levy points, make them as you wish). I recommend you use your skills as a scout out and preferably ambush their forces.
Reward my trust in you, Lefford.

To be forwarded to Lord Ghaston in the field:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Well done on your work against Yronwood and Dayne, the former victory was no doubt instrumental in bringing my cousins the Fowlers to our side. Which was fortuitous for all.
Dayne is a traitor, tell Uller and Allyrion to lay down their arms or they will all suffer- beginning with my uncle Lord Dayne. If they fail to comply have him crucified before their host. Don't let him die though for gods' sake, or they will make a martyr of the bastard. He is to be interred in Ghaston Grey with the others in time.
Surrender is to be unconditional and immediate.
Lastly, I hear rumours that the king is mobilising troops across the sea. The king will attempt to aid the insurgents, if he does I will have gained my true victory, it will be his fatal mistake. Therefore have no fear for that day.
If worse comes to worse, do not surrender under any means but stand by our sovereign rights as a principality. That is absolute to my cyvasse.
    Rors, Prince of Dorne
