    Is there anyway to mod the game to stop the AI recruiting uber loads of onagers?
    I find this really annoying, and rather than fighting against macedonian pikemen i found myself fighting fifteen units of onagers
    thx


    PS i might just chnage the recruitment cost, think it will work?

    You could try changing the faction to something other than 'Napoleon' in descr_strat - though that could have other unwanted effects, see here:

    for some comments on what those terms are thought to influence.

    Increasing unit cost or number of turns to build might help (or just bancrupt the AI if they still build them! ) I'm not really sure how much that influences AI.

    If you really hate the onagers you could delete / comment out the recruit lines in export_descr_building.txt ie:
    ; recruit "greek onager" 0 requires factions { greek, }
    putting ; before line comments them out - that would stop them being built at all and AI could still attack you in seiges with ladders etc.

    Ive increased the training costs to around 10000, meaning that they're too expensive for most factions to buy. The greeks have one or two heavy onagers that ive seen, but there is no spamming, so thats good
