Suarez, after biting Chiellini in the Uruguay v Italy game today could possibly face a 2 year ban from football.
Thoughts?
Seems to be 'just made up' to me......
Way too early for anything official - they will need a few hours at least (if not days). So long as it's before the next game that Suarez can play in should be good.

Deserves all he gets the stupid little
Too early to say but a long ban is indeed probable.
Hilarious.
Biting someone - long ban!!! Ban him for as long as possible in order to forget we suck and that it was all his fault!!! And while we're at it, it crossed the line!!!
Elbow in the back - red card and a three game ban
A flying kick to the back of the head - yellow card.
Breaking an opponent's leg - red card for domestic league?
Are you ing kidding me???
Oh and how long was the ban of Roy "Knee" Keane for trying to break the leg of Haland? Three games.
ing Hypocrites.
He CAN get sanctioned but 2 years is ing insane and will never happen.

A long ban from internationals maybe. But from football? So who is going to compensate Liverpool while Suarez is banned for something he did in an international game? FiFA?!! not a hope of that happening and not a hope Liverpool (or whoever he's signed to ) wouldn't fight it in the courts.
But who knows with FiFA..

It's football, not criminal justice. And also, This ain't Texas, son.
Not surprised in the slightest:
Song vs Croatia.
Balotelli vs Uruguay, alt. De Jong vs Spain
Ryan Shawcross vs Aaron Ramsey. Actually I stand corrected on that one - he broke Ramsey's leg, got a red and hours later his punishment was increased by a call-up for England vs Egypt.
i think the OP came to the 2 year figure because that is the maximum amount of time for a non-permanent ban.
Wrong, the ban can count for club games too.FIFA has jurisdiction over UEFA and so over the Premier League.A league which could probably ban Suarez in anycase by its own decision.
Amusing...but no, it's indeed football and by its rules repeat offenders get a heavier sanction.
About Balotelli...it was a normal yellow card foul by a player that just went too strongly for the ball.Ridiculous your understanding of that play.
Frankly it was nothing compared to Schumacher's assault on Battiston in 82(?) I'm sure i read Battiston still no idea what happened after the "tackle" and Schumacher got nothing at all. Because it is harder to avoid now with social media and cameras everywhere he will not avoid some kind of punishment because it is too hard to ignore, bet they do something like ban him from internationals which will have zero impact on his club football but will impact Uruguay.

Biting is really something different, it's quite absurd.Suarez is a maniac not only violent like other players can be, this is the third times he bites, a long ban will probably be beneficial to him too, he needs help.Anyway, if in other cases someone else wasn't punished it doesn't mean Suarez now deserves to not pay for his actions.
