Ten months after release the general failure of Rome Total War 2 is by now undeniably documented in many opinions expressed on this forum as well as in the sales numbers in possession of CA and SEGA.
What everybody expected to be the most thrilling upgrade since the early adventures has turned out the biggest disaster in the history of the franchise.
Now, if they were a serious company, at this point of the story, someone should stand up and take the responsibility for the failure. Players, modders, investors, everybody would like to understand what happened and why the development team was unable to meet the previous standards. Will this state of affairs continue, or can we nurture some hope that they will return to their previous form? We would like to have some answers, please!
Instead, they are still hanging out, killing time and money! The only serious reaction we have seen from the company is that they have started hunting down little bashers who have the insolent audacity to say that their product stinks!
Come on, CA and SEGA, that's no company policy and not even honourable!
You were better than that and if you get rid of the bad apples you can do it again!
