Thread: [UPD 03 MAY 16] Preview: The Kingdom of Gondor

Great work guys and gals, I have a question for you: do you intend to give Gondor other warmachines except the trebuchet? Them being advanced culturally, in comparison to say Rohan, they must have had battlerams and siegetowers of their own, didn't get to use them though, probably. What are your thoughts on this?

In the actual release roadmap we planned only trebuchets for siege and artillery. This doesn't mean that it will be the only thing later.

Another question though, will there be any Numenorians in the Gondorian army? If so, what kind of differences may they have from ordinary Gondor troops?

Swan Knights and Ithilien Rangers will be fully dunedain troops. They will be taller, with dark hair, grey eyes, and stats higher.

I really wish that Attila had degenerative equipment, those shields you made look badass, they look weird on new freshly troops of course, but still badass.

No... theyre two massively different engineering designs, they have the swinging arm upheld instead of pulled down to the bottom, many mechanical differences and the textures are different, counterweight design etc... https://public-bn1306.files.1drv.com...drts=107541177 http://s274.photobucket.com/user/Baz...small.jpg.html Better example P

Because of some reasons we have started remaking Gondor soldiers. At all. From scratch.
See opening for the first WIP preview.
Currently, torso armour, pauldrons aka arms armour, tassets aka legs armour, tunic, trousers and heads are 100% completed.
The unit wasn't supposed to be previewed today but for some reasons(my college final exam and my university entry exam I'm rly busy) so not rly sure when I can completevely finish the unit.
I still making progress, for example today I finished texturing tassets(if you zoom, they look much better^^).

Helmet seems to lack its reliefs...hope the team to come back to it's magic.

The helmet isn't textured so the details are of course missing atm.

It's doesn't have lack. I made it very accurate to the concept image.
The helmet may be a bit bigger than it has to be because I didn't want to mess with cutting ears.

Good work, but I think the helmet should be a bit more silver. To me it looks a bit too grey.
