I'm glad the mod is still in process! These previews are very promising and I do have the hope, that this could be the true successor of Third Age: Total War...
I wish you the best luck! Please never ever give up on this and just go on.

Thank you for your support, nevertheless I have to say that these Fountain Guard previews are VERY old and that it has fully reworked textures and improved models now. We intend to make a bigger preview as soon as possible but we still need some time.

I understand that you do not show us too much, but can you tell us the approximate progress of Gondor ?
How many units are finished? And besides, I thank you for your hard work on this mod.

We're working on Gondor, Harad, Rhûn, Arnor / Eriador and the Dwarves of Erebor at the moment. We have concepts and research content for much content we're going to create and will show some updates in a first impression trailer. More I'm not going to say right now.
Wait for the video and you'll get your updates.

There are some amazing units from the books, like the Blackroot Vale archers. I hope you guys use the books as well as the movies, like Third Age Total War did.

I just read back through the threads I posted on and realized that I came off a little negative. The mod looks absolutely amazing so far and i'm really looking forward to playing it. The dev team clearly has considerable talent judging from what I've seen so far.

Great models, good job. Just a thing: I hope you're not going to give every soldier a full-plate armor, like in the movies, because it absolutely doesn't make any sense. I think that TATW 3.1 has the best Gondor infantry so fare, they're a very good reference: they only use chainmail and a leather coat with gondorian heraldy.
Also, I think that you should avoid full-plate armors as much as you can, giving them only to the most elite units, like Fountain Guards or Dol Amroth knights.

When fully upgraded the gondor infantry in TATW 3.1 has "his" full-plate armor. But the idea of giving the units full-plate as golden armor-upgrade was a very good idea Medieval II TW.

I´d say the weta-designs should be reference number one wherever they fit. For sure the sake of gameplay asks for a broad unit-roster that includes light, low-tier units (e.g. milita) which don´t wear full plate. These units may be kinda stylistic similar, but somewhere fictional in their design, since there is no real useful ref from the movies to work from.
However, I also recommend a roster close to tatw´s.

I made a few rosters with Chewey for the moders but they are just suggestions and we tried to make balance between every faction so militia and basic units are ofc in the roster. I think that the Moders will surely put militia on the start of the game.
Third Ages TW roster is good but they will make a more original units just for this mod...
    Cheers

this is some nice starting work, but I need to see this refined a whole lot more. Attila is a very pretty base game, even before GEM. Any mod I play must match this! good luck!
