They're more useful than Warp Spiders. In the previous codex, I'd have them use their skyleap, then when they appear back on the field, they drop their their bombs.

Warp Spiders don't really work as Assault Marine/Raptor/Stormboy equivalents. They're not exactly flying around in the air. They pass through terrain and initiate directly into close range firefights and melee.
You'd have to give them translucent views of the game environments and some sort of 3d targeting system for where they want to teleport to. And that's assuming you don't give them some perils of the warp stuff. It'd be hard to do on the fly through combat. Unlike flying. In an RTS they're fine, but in an TPS there'd be issues. They're more like Terminators or Obliterators. But you can make Terminators without Teleportation. Warp Spiders not so much.

S4 large blast when you have 6 or more models, small blast when 5 or less. Yay. Oh and S3 Assault 3 standard range rifles for 16 points a model. Gimme dem Spiders for 3 more points.
And what's wrong with blink? This wouldn't be the first TPS to have it.

How is that handled in other games?

You click and then you teleport. The other players sort that disappearing targets out themselves.

I was thinking that Spiders should be able to teleport to places they can't see, and that would require a more advanced interface which would be hard to use.
If it was just within line of sight that'd be doable but I don't think it would feel right. Regardless teleporting isn't similar to jump packing.

None of this really matters. What we should be arguing about is how best to troll our fellow TWC members that choose to play lesser races. As a giant horde of space elves. Naturally.

For those of you who were wondering how they were going to do the F2P here is an article

Xenos and Heretics!
Actually, Swooping Hawks are in a few mods for DoW I. Ultimate Apocalypse for sure, most likely Firestorm over Kronus and possibly Titanium Wars as well.
Change that to Ulthwe and I'm in. I don't like the colours of the other Craftworlds that much.Originally Posted by Col. Tartleton

I think canonically if we're aspect warriors our colors will be tied to the aspect not to the craftworld. Ulthwe fire dragons and Biel Tan fire dragons are red with gold helms regardless.

Sadly they are not in FoK Mod (and this is sad because I firmly believe the Eldar would be better balanced with them ...) anyway the Mod is now revived and if you want, take a look to their thread on ModDB they have put Dark Eldar in game.

If I remember correctly, Aspect Warriors do incorporate part of the heraldry of their Craftworld along with their Aspect's colours. Aren't there also classes like Warlocks for the Eldar? Those would certainly have their Craftworld's colours.
Ultimate Apocalypse certainly has them, as I just played it right now. Titanium Wars is this mod.Originally Posted by ☩Lord Inquisitor Derpy Hooves☩
I didn't know there was an update for FoK. Dammit. If the internet connection here was better, I'd download it immediately.Originally Posted by Diocle

Hope there's going to be imperial guard in the game. But still pretty excited about it anyway.

Angry Joe for President!!!!!
The game looks really good, the budget limitations are the most worrying part of the vid, anyway what I've seen is really, really cool!
