Can someone please help me to disable the Survival Script? Im just having an annoying time with Sparta in RSII 2.6

And please, dont tell me how to play my game, that I need to conquer region X or Y first, if you can help just please help me disable the script, otherwise I'll have to go back to 2.5

The Survival Script basically dont let me attack any faction without making peace with them instantly.

    Thanks.

Open the background script file. Specifically, look for:

    rs2file../play_sparta/data/scripts/show_me/background_script.txt

open and look for the following:
    Code:
    	monitor_event FactionTurnStart TrueCondition
    		and I_CompareCounter Player_greek_cities = 0
    		and I_NumberOfSettlements greek_cities < 2
    		if I_CompareCounter Player_romans_scipii = 0
    			console_command diplomatic_stance romans_scipii greek_cities neutral
    		end_if
    		if I_CompareCounter Player_romans_julii = 0
    			console_command diplomatic_stance romans_julii greek_cities neutral
    		end_if
    		if I_CompareCounter Player_romans_brutii = 0
    			console_command diplomatic_stance romans_brutii greek_cities neutral
    		end_if
    		if I_CompareCounter Player_macedon = 0

    		end_if
    		if I_CompareCounter Player_carthage = 0

    		end_monitor
    Delete it.

Whoever does scripting, it seems the problem is the counter (Player_greek_cities) is only set at the start of the player's turn. So perhaps if you are loading in the middle of a turn and end turn, the counter is unset (or has a default value of 0) so even the player faction will get survival scipt-ed sometimes.

Normally, Sparta players quickly grab the unwalled settlements nearby, if you are playing as a different faction, does the AI just start with two settlement already, or what happens there...?

AI Sparta starts with just one city.
I just conquered them as City States and they didnt have Olimpia or Argos.

    Thanks a lot Alavaria!

There is nothing happening actually, lets say just that Im a weird player, who likes to put the campaign on Very Hard, declare war on everyone and hold 1 city until I die.

I deleted the entire section in the background script - and things are going just fine....

Pontus went first (to the largest Armenian empire I've seen before in testing) - I killed off the Averni - and Dacia has recently gone. The Cimbri (without their 'Invasion' military buff) are hemmed back into the Danish peninsula by the strongest Belgae I've seen in 2 years! The Boii are something to be reckoned with.

And Sparta remains alive in Argos......

    Well, we can't have that!

It's just over 100 years in (and yes, I would previously have expected that the Belgae would have been removed from the continent) and, without their massive reinforcement, the Cimbri are not doing well at all.

The Boii were also much more active in this one, took Patavium reasonably early on and even declared on Rome for a change. They have subsequently carved up the Dacians. Now I face them and, with some Dacian-like troops incorporated in their armies are really rather tough 'Celts'.

I'll also face a serious Armenian faction sometime.......another I've not seen before. All sorts of good things in a new 2.6 (Hard campaign) run-through.

    What exactly is Survival scripts?

It seems some players had (I don't get it myself except for those who notch bedposts) complained that some factions were wiped out before they ever saw them (Spartans typically) - and thus code was written so that when down to only a single settlement the AI had to declare peace.

    Ce la vie.......
