Great news! Having such a powerful tool would it be possible to make strategic AI aware, at least to little extent, of its diplomatic relations and decisions?

    Hello!

Can you tell me what you were able to change?

Were you able to unlock the maximum number of soldiers per unit and number of units for each army?

40-unit armies for RTW would be incredible. It would breathe new life into the game. Or even just the reinforcements system like m2tw would make the game 100x better.

As for the performance, I don't think it will be affected by more regions/factions/units on screen. Modern PC's can cope despite rtw being optimized for older hardware.

Wouldn't that fry the engine ?

    Amazing news guys. Well done.
Yeah having customised battle AIs would be fantastic for the old engine

Wow!, this is superb! . Congratulations to you all, you are monsters !!
I didn't think it was possible, what you've accomplished.
There's just one question, can you modify the limits for number of points in the tridimensional models? That would be be the biggest thing for me.

Also I have an interest in this being transfered to the medieval II, specially.

And keep up the good job!!

It's not that easy. You can find and unlock the limit, yes, but, for example, how the UI will manage the space for the ui cards? How the AI will handle 40 units instead of 20?

... and the dimensions of the maps to place the unlocked units?

In Napoleon you can't change the tactical maps so you have many units in a small space, this is why I prefer playing with the limited number of units ...

Those are very good points. In Napoleon, the units cards were shrunk to a size where they'd all fit on the interface, but I'm not sure if you can do the same for rome. Someone with coding knowledge will have to shed some light on that.

Finding a way of making it run on more modern multi-cores would be the best way of enabling full utilisation of the other changes. Hopefully this can be achieved. The release of this memory editor will be a historic day for modding TW games.

I already asked for this in the previous pages of the topic, it's impossible without having to rewrite the entire code.

More regions? More factions? Bigger armies? And all this for good old R1?

God, I'm so much more sorry that I paid for R2...

EDIT: Out of curiosity- how much different (harder) would be unlocking Medieval 2 with this knowledge?

Medieval 2 has this same thing in the works but I don't know who's doing it.

In Med 2 we haven't gotten near as much done yet. I don't think Med 2 modding community has as much unity.
