Default Easy way to let the modders improve the politics

(discuss about SIMPLE IDEAS to improve politic without to change everything. SIMPLE IDEAS )

At this time, the % of the senate/concile/nobles your party have doesn't really matter for the player.
Solution: to link effects (bonus/malus food, happiness, income, building time ect....) to the % of the senate/concil/nobles your party have. So if the player want specific bonus/malus, he will need to take care about the senate/concil/nobles.

How CA can help us ?
CA should create new "effect_bundle_key" to the "db-->effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions" to connect/link effects to the % of the senate/nobles concil you have to your party.
With these keys, we (modders) should be able to create some good mods for the politic system even if it change anything to the politic itself, but only by adding a range of bonus/malus.

For example, we will have "effect_bundle_key" like
    rom_concil_very_low (between 0 and 19% of the concil/senate)
    rom_concil_low (between 20 and 39% )
    rom_concil_medium (between 40 and 59%)
    rom_concil_high (between 60 and 79% )
    rom_concil_very_high (between 80 and 100%)

So we could add bonus/malus to each of these "effect_bundle_key". So the player will need to take care about the politic if he wants a specific bonus/malus ect...

Topic on the official forum if you like the idea:

    Edit:
answer of CA ? a ban

So, as you've been posting this on both here and TWC I thought I would respond. The team that make the game and the team that make Rally Point are two very different groups.

We remain completely in support of all our modders, things are happening behind the scenes which will benefit modding community, but it’s SO far away from being something we can talk about in any capacity, if we start any discussion about it now it could, not only hurt modding but kill ‘things’ before they have even been finished.

The absence of a response is not the absence of action.

Now, from your copy-pasta threads on both TWC, I can see that your account has already been banned here on the official forums, which is very much against our Terms and Conditions for use.

    Please consider your ban reinstated.

    ehh... why?
alhoon is not a member of the infamous Hoons: a (fictional) nazi-sympathizer KKK clan. Of course, no Hoon would openly admit affiliation to the uninitiated.

why ? It doesn't need to work on the AI and this kind of complex stuff.
It is nothing more than a link between the % of the senate (a system which are already on the game) and effects (which are already on the game too). They only need to create these links (the new "effect_bundle_key"). It can not be more simple to do .....

You need believable characters with fluid and changing traits with specific jobs and ambitions to aim at for any political system to be realised.

they said they love the modders, they love modding ect... and to add these "effect_bundle_key" is something very easy to do for them and it will let the modder make some very good mods for the most moddable total war ever.
But maybe I am too naive ?

I don't think there's anything people who like the mods can do. CA is being willfully tone deaf. They have blocked out a segment of the fanbase or have decided not to interact with them.

An expansion of Baptistus' idea, which I like... Losing part of your income or even division of income. Money other families can use against you in politics... Would make it more realistic... Let's say every family has a varying income and get the rest from the politics... The more they have, the less you have...

Another, more simple feature: visual representation (or simply an image) of the council, senate or faction leader on his throne... Simple images can already be found in the events and there is space available in the faction screen to insert the image(s). It doesn't take great coding skills, mainly the will... BUT it would give some higher sense of involvement.

    AND another important issue:

Having a HEAD OF THE FAMILY get killed in battle should give a penalty to all other factions and a slight bonus for them... - call it neglect of the others & sacrifice for the nation of the family!
Furthermore, any character will also be more valuable if you raise the costs of a general in agents_tables to 1000 (instead of 300), which will make you think twice before sending a character to its death in battle.

Sorry... I meant: If a family head dies in battle, the other families get a penalty, and the suffering family a slight influence bonus...

Didnt you read the political guide baptistus? The system is alive and well and full of intrigue! Your suggestion starts on a wrong base because you imply that the political system needs to be improved...

Do you really think the TW devs have time to listen to your fancy ?

    /sarcasm

I hope you continue to hammer this suggestion until somehow they get to listen to you!
If they dont have the dev team to handle the matter, at least give the keys to the modders to do it for the people.... Stay classy CA!

Politics should be different depending on what kind of political system the faction has.

The team that make the game and the team that make Rally Point are two very different groups.
That's BS. Talking like a politician doesn't mean it's right. At the end of the day, all of the groups and teams are working for CA and representing CA. Don't blame the customers, blame your boss and responsible colleagues.

If it's the general attitude in CA. Should we expect the game developer(s) to tell us some similar thing like, "the team that make the game design decisions and the team that do the programming are two very different groups"?!

I am going to add something here.

When you are the recipient of a moderator action on any other forum but this one, we simply do not care. Posting stuff about how they moderate on another site is bound to get deleted. And it certainly does not belong in the Total War sections of TWC.
