Question: I predicted Brzil will win 3-1, they only won after penalty kicks. Do I get 1 or 0 points?

Well I think I have 2 points - I said 3-2 to Brazil from penalties, so +1 for guessing Brazil, +1 for penalties, but I did not get the score right so no point for that. I guess you can get a maximum of 3 points now right result, right score and right ending (90 mins, extra time or pens).

That'd be great. We could do it for the Champions Cup too. What do you mean with the bolded part? Did we change the rules at some point? And for the record, I'm not a fan of minus points. A draw is less likely to happen than a win anyway so giving minus points for incorrectly guessing a less likely result seems pointless.

I believe in the statistics state that draws are more likely in qualifications. To discourage people from playing the numbers, you employ a negative point when you guess wrong. I will double check this when we get to that stage. I think in the future, guessing the correct score should be 2 pts, not 1.

* It isn't called penalties or penalty kicks, no one is being penalized. It is called Kicks from the Spot. The announcers drive me crazy when they keep referring to them as that! Then again, when it comes to the rules, most are complete ignoramuses.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in England who does not call it penalties at the end of the game, maybe spot-kicks once in a while but otherwise it is penalties. You know what I mean, I know what you mean and let's leave it at that. I will try to remember to call it (KS) for this time, but I think (ks) or (p) or (pk) are all fair enough as they are all distinct from (et) and that is what we want, a distinction between the three endings right?

LOL... actually, it isn't just England,... only us referees call it that and some of us call it pk's or penalties as well. But you are right.... I know the context!
