    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand its gone.

    For Ribery that is.
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

And probably Reus too. Germany is fecked.

So many injured good players. And the likes of Suarez, Vidal, C.Ronaldo, Schweinsteiger won't be in shape, if they can play at all. This WC is going to be a complete disaster

Pretty ironic that Robben, one of the most injury-prone of all the star players, is still unharmed.

Good for Messi, who has been saving himself all season for the WC...

Aaaand lukaku got injured also......, it's unclear if he's going To miss the wc or not

And E.Hazard under performed AGAIN, at This point i would rather pick up Dries Mertens in the starting line up.

Terrible match from Belgium even though we won with 1-0........

Amazing performance by Italy against tough Luxembourg. 1-1

On a side note: who's ready for another Argentina vs England and the bickering over Falklands?

^ Better than being butthurt on losing an unjustified war IMO

    But i digress.

AC Milan captain Montolivo was injured in the early stages of the friendly at Fulham's Craven Cottage following a crunching tackle from Ireland defender Alex Pearce.

Skippering Italy on the night he needed several minutes of treatment and was seen mouthing "it's broken" before eventually being carried off.

tick, tick, tick.... getting excited yet?

So, and this is probably more for those of us with late night kick-off times - which games will you be watching outside of your own teams grouo matches? Definitely have to see the first match, and Spain v Netherlands, Germany v Portugal to see how Germany look and Belgium v Algeria to see if the hype about Belgium is justified, and and Argentine v Bosnia, outside of Brazil and Spain I think they are a good bet.

Oh and I was around to see Maradona - it was only the "hand of God" that really got up peoples nose and then only because he refused to admit he handled when clearly he did. The other goal was probably the best I have ever seen in the WC he just made some half decent players look like sunday league players, and had he just said, "well yeah, it was a handball but the ref gave it" there would have been less annoyance. Mind you in hindsight, quite how a goalie like Shilton was beaten in the air by a bloke who was what 5'3"? is a bit of a mystery.

Gonna try to watch as many as possible, but i'll give special attention to ALL the matches on group D and B, and Germany vs Portugal and Belgium vs Russia.

I am anticipating England vs Italy more than Brazil vs Croacia. Cant wait to see them playing in Manaus, though it has all to end 0x0.

And i feel pity to anyone that will play against Honduras, they think they are wrestling or something.

Shilton didn't manage to get more than a foot off the ground, English goalkeepers can't jump.

And I'll be watching as many games as possible, even those at 3am probably.

Probably won't get too excited unless England get something from their first game. Lose that and, well it doesn't bare thinking about.

I try to watch as many games as possible but it looks like it's going to be an at home watching them by myself. I do love watching games in the pub but I live in the sticks now and getting home will be impossible.

Shilton has never got over the hand of god thing. Every interview (or even media appearance) he's done since that gets mentioned and he's still very bitter about it. For a keeper with a fair amount of winners medals (inc two league titles and two European cups) to his name that was and always will be what he's most remembered for.
