From One End of the Galaxy to the Other (Smuggling Venture)
A Hyperlane to Hell
Gabriel surveys his ship in port, it wasn't altogether an impressive sight, but as the dock-hands loaded crate full after crate full of Reptilians into its hold he felt a sense of pride about his void-bound vessel. The ship was old and rusted, it looked as if someone had welded together half a hundred strips of scrap metal and strapped a couple freighter engines on the heap. But to her loyal crew the Serenity is home, a home always on the move and filled with dangerous and/or wildly illegal materials on the best of days, but home all the same.
The Serenity takes off on its established run time. A course is plugged into the navigation computer leading from Descent to Algol. Reptilians aren't illegal in every System so her course runs though Slaver Space as long as possible. The ship will travel legally from Descent to Luyten to Kappa to Colic to Zerman to Yensu to Lylat, from there the Serenity will exit Slaver Space and travel to the Technocrat Gateway System to Mercantile Durdane to Solaris to Mizar to Izar rounding out the journey with that finale jump to Algol.
This is the best course of action possible if the mission is to be completed but its far from a good one, the Serenity will be traveling though five hostile Systems (Gateway, Durdane, Solaris, Mizar, and Izar) patrolled by policing forces ready to apprehend them and a militarized war-zone. Gabriel's a gambling man and he sure as hell wouldn't bet on himself winning out on this one, but in this business you go big or ya go home.
OOC I'm not sure if it has any effect but the Captain has a +3 to Veteran Jump Navigator, logically might effect the outcome of the Police Intervention rolls.

13 jumps. Police Intervention Roll: Base chance 5/20, +1 for every System the illegal cargo will be moved through. If the Smuggler is caught he is taken before the Courts, and is usually allowed to walk free if he confesses his employer’s identity.
5+13 = 18, -3 = 15/20 chance of being intercepted by enforcement patrols. Anything 16-20 successful.
Rolled a 20, you're safe.

ooc: You might want to do a quick roll to see which system a smuggler gets captured in if ever caught, because someone might take a bribe or get a favor in return for not turning him in.
