Lykian Mercenaries (Hegemonia City-States Original Work)

    Lykioi Epibatai:
The Lycians wear cuirasses and greaves, and carried cornel-wood bows and unfeathered arrows and javelins; goat-skins hung from their shoulders and they wore on their heads caps crowned with feathers. The also have daggers and skimitars, and they are capable in fighting on land or on the ship deck.

This one is a petty project that i am working to see is you guys like.
Is not to much, is just new faces for generals.
Some examples for the eastern culture.

I've clean a little of the images and puted them on the background that you can see.
    What do you guys think?

I like the portraits a lot. It is something I alwas wanted to see in RoP, since vanila eastern/Iranian portraits are absolutly irelevant for the timeperiod.

    Uratrian Mercenaries (ROP Original Work)

    Biainili Arsibini:
These men are still able to use their horses with mastery, but their weapons and equipment are outdated; their no match for the more advance equipment that the major super powers have, but they are still able to do and impressive charge with their long spears. And even with an outdated bow, they still can do great damage to an unprepared enemy.

    Biainili Waše:
Good and capable spear unit. Average morale, so best kept on easily defendable spots.

    Unit Stats Overall

For some days that i have looked into the suggestions of you guys and many of you complain of the unit stats; that its not well balanced, and i agree with you. So i made my own unit stats so that battles can last longer, but not to much.

Spear units have a weaker attack in comparison with sword units; and light spearmen will have a charge bonus.
Swordsmen will have a strong attack but their charge will be weak (There are some exceptions)

The attack of units is from 1 to 10 (with some exceptions)
The defence can only reach a maximum of 30.
Bowmen also is from 1 to 10 (with some exceptions)

Cavalry will have a great bonus in charging enemies; i used the style of cavalry stats from Europa Barbarorum, where the charge can easily pass from 15 to 25; many others can even pass this numbers. Of course that the attack while stuck in combat is weak; and their defence is not great.

Chariots have been upgraded to more stable weapons of destruction; their charge is much greater than the cavalry, where the maximum of their charge is 40. Their defence as increase a little, because many of you complained about how weak they were.

I have changed dramatically the stats of the Hoplite units, where their attack is not great but their defence is much greater than any eastern units. Also their unit collision is much greater than any other type of unit, which will make them better at pushing. Their radius atribute is much lower, which will make them fighting closer to each other, like in EB. However to balanced things out i made their numbers much lower from eastern units. Normal hoplite unit will reach to 120 men, while eastern units can reach from 160 to 180 men. Elite units reach from 100 to 80 men.

    Example:

    Dorikoi Hoplitai:

    type campa greek dorian hoplites
    dictionary aor_greek_hoplites ;Dorikoi Hoplitai
    category infantry
    class spearmen

    Sūra:

    category infantry
    class spearmen
    voice_type Medium_1
    soldier aor_iranian_spearmen, 40, 0, 1, 0.4, 1.7
    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest, can_sap, mercenary_unit, no_custom
    formation 1, 1, 2, 2, 5, square
    stat_health 1, 0
    stat_pri 4, 6, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 25, 0.26

Why not higher numbers? F.e. 160 men for hoplites, 200-240 for eastern? The EB numbers imo in general are very, very well balanced. Good choice!

The max number to the units that i chose is 200. But only a few will reach that number.

I have always had a soft spot for ROP despite it being a flawed beta release from 2008, and it really excites me that we are going to finally receive the definitive version. Best wishes for the team, this unique mod deserves attention!

Lydian Elite Archers (Near East: Total War Original Work)

    Ifrilas:
The offensive core of Lydian army, these men are well protected heavy archers, they aren't suitable and too slow moving for skirmishes, but they can stand their ground and bombard everyone foolish enough to come in their range with their deadly, and accurate arrows. They are heavily armoured and carry longswords for backup, so they can fight up close when required.
