I want to inform all of you about a thing that will almost surely happen in the future because I then don't want people to start a thread every day about it. So it is good you know it now and you adapt to it, because, as I said, if not now it will surely happen when upgrades will finally work:
It is highly probable that for 0.9 the Legionaries will be reverted as they were before the addition of the Legions (so with "uniform" looks, albeit I will add more variations to the meshes so that an unit will have more diversified look).
I'm sorry people but the trouble wasn't really worth it:
A) The textures add more than 300 mb to the mod.
B) No many people either notice that the Legionaries are different from when the numbered icons and standards are gone.
C) The scripts are slowed down because a lot of more units are to check, both for the reforms and army caps
D) If upgrades will finally work they will never work correctly with many different Legionary units because the game engine is not meant for something like that.
E) With the new auxilia by Don Diego the Legions pale in comparison
Given this, it is not worth it. Sincerely from whence I removed the numbered Legions the vast majority of users cannot either understand that there are different Legions in the game at all (and it was even worse when there were standard shields for them, as it should be btw) and all the trouble having those Legions comport for almost no benefit whatsoever at this point it is simply not more worth it.
So it is much likely that Legionaries will return to the "standard" as they were before the Legions in 0.9; surely this will happen if the upgrades will finally work. So prepare for it and please, I ask you, don't complain about it but try to understand why it was not worth it (if I would have known all of this in anticipation I would have never have made that addition to begin with; I think it has been one of the worst ideas we ever had, all in all).
