Since I will need it sooner or later, I wrote a 3ds Max script for exporting the campaign map borders and rivers. I included the tool by Alpaca for converting RigidSplines to txt.

I am still working on reducing the original boshin map to 4 regions/factions, to have a base map. From there I then can implement new regions, settlements etc.

Ah, you're working on Campaignmaps already. Does this means battle stats basics and Units has been taken care of?

No, Primergy is doing lot of campaign tests and researches atm for the future development. Those are important steps for the mod. Nobody says, that the units have to be done at first, cause they are the easiest part, compared to campaign modding

I am anxiously awaiting any more details on the mod, its progress, etc.

    Quick question:

In order for the mod to work properly, will there be a need for any DLC? Like FotS, or RotS? I have read the main posts from the developers but I couldn't find a definitive answer; but I reserve the right to have skimmed over them, as it is final exams week and my brain is fried.

Good work, and can't wait for this to release!

Yeah, what ''weirdoascensor'' says is true, you'll need FoTS, and FoTS alone, since that is a standalone expansion.

Just wondering if it's possible to minimize the distance between the ranks of the line infantry? I would urge to do it if possible since it looks kinda meh atm with the ranks so far apart from each other.

I did a test and squeezed two line infantry units close to each other so they are thightly packed and I think it looks better and it's also more historical.

Here's some pics. Imagine it's one unit and not two.

You should take a look at our old mods - ranks were always quite tight.

Yes it should be possible to remove the muzzle flash aswell

I know I have to keep sort of a standard, but.. ''That's what he said'' ^^

These tight formations do remind me of the ETW version of this mod. I am also assuming you will increase the size of the regiments because they look kind of small compared to that mod. If so what is the standard size you are going for?

I really think you should include Mexico in this version of your mod. Their struggle to contain France and keeping them from joining the CSA would be one of the major subplots going on around the fringes of the ACW. If France would have succeeded and recognized the CSA, it would be very easy for Britain to recognize them as well which they were inclined to do in order to re-establish the cotton trade which was causing all kinds of economic problems in Europe.

I posted a map of the current map idea. Mexico isn't included besides a small area. I dropped them, to have as much space as possible for the US.
Sadly, there are a lot of diplomatic elements I can't display

    My most optimistic guess is:

    December 2015

But we want to release small unit or map packs from time to time.
