Default Tell us ideas about buildings

Since i will create a set of new (and unique too) buildings for PI, i will like to receive ideas about the development of them.

    i will make an example:
1- do you prefer ONLY english names for buildings, or you will like to flavour the taste of the century by looking their names in latin, greek, and 2-3 other italic languages (like in EB)?

2- do you prefer to have like rtw-vanilla development of buildings or to enhance new tech-trees?
    i give you an example:
New buildings will have more or less 3 levels:
each level will be capable of one or two upgrades, in a tree-fashioned way still unknown for RTW, but possible by his engine.
i.g., a new greek-faction building is the Ergasterion. here his tech-tree:

    Ergasterion (factory)

    level 1:
    building: Ergasterion
==> upgrade1: Large Slave Employment (high cost, high production, low quality)
    OR
==> upgrade2: Quality Artisan Work (average cost, medium production, high quality)
    ----------------------------------------
    level 2:

IF there was upgrade1 AND resource: textiles:
==> upgrade 1.1: Textile factory (average income, low cost)
IF there was upgrade1 AND resource: marble AND/OR glass:
==> upgrade 1.2: Artwork factory (high income, medium cost)
IF there was upgrade2 AND resources: gold AND/OR silver:
==> Upgrade 2.1: Fine Artwork Factory (highest income, average cost)
IF there was upgrade2 AND resource: amber OR building present: market, level "luxury goods tradesman":
==> Upgrade 2.2: Glyptika Artwork (high income, medium cost)
    ----------------------------------------
    level 3:
IF there was upgrade1.1 AND resources: textiles AND purple_dye:
==> upgrade 1.1.1: Large factory of Expensive Textiles (highest income, average cost)
IF there was upgrade2.1 AND building present: market, level "luxury good tradesman":
==> Upgrade 2.1.1: Fine Jewellery artwork (highest income, medium cost)

so, as you see, at the end there will be 8possible expansion in time of a single building: in total 9 "levels", as the max rtw engine could support.

    -------

let me know what you think.

my work will correspond on your suggestion and initiatives.

buildings possible by greek factions could be:
    - temenos (sanctuary)
    - gymnasion (could develop as school and/or gym)
and different internal development of already exixting buildings.

Latin, Greek, Oscan etc. would work well for me.

    ditto...

Also, go for the tech-tree option. It may be more work to do, but it really adds to the depth of the game

    cheers

Definitely include all of the above mentioned. It adds unbeliavable extra value to the game!

    I agree.
"Most people are like a leaf which is blown and turning around through the air,and wavers, and tumbles to the ground.
But others, a few, are like stars, they go on a fixed course, no wind reaches them, in themselves they have their law and their course."
