CTD Reports (Crash To Desktop) - Read First Post
Official Chivalry User Crash To Desktop (CTD) Reports-Thread. Separate ctd reports outside this topic might get NO support.
Pre-Note: custom (user) changes to the official build/s won't be supported by the ChivTW team.
First, make sure you have installed/started the game proper as per the instructions .
Then, if the ctd happens after reloading a saved game, make sure you have activated the script again, right after you are in the saved game.
Categories/Sections
A.1: battle mode in campaign, repetitive after reload, game over
A.2: custom battle mode, repetitive after reload, game over
A.3: strat-map in campaign, repetitive after reload, game over
A.4: end-turn in campaign, repetitive after reload, game over
B.1: battle mode in campaign, non-repetitive after reload, game went further
B.2: custom battle mode, non-repetitive after reload, game went further
B.3: strat-map in campaign, non-repetitive after reload, game went further
B.4: end-turn in campaign, non-repetitive after reload, game went further
C. Other kind of ctd
User Report Task:
a) If you gonna report us a kind of these ctd's, then name the category, and the section as title of the report as above. If you cannot adress a possible ctd to these categories, name it category C as title and describe.
b) Then add the appropriate description. We can only support ctd's which are accurate described as following. (copy and paste the points below and proceed your entries). In this order:
- Version: your entry
- Exe: RTW or BI
- Saved game: Yes or No
- Script activated: Yes or No
- Faction/Campaign: your entry
- Year/season (when): your entry
- Map location: your entry (ie. siege-settlement of..., field battle near/at ...)
- Enemy/armies/units/family characters: your entry
- Description, what happened actually before and while: your entry
- Link to screenshot before ctd (optional): your thumbnail link
- Other: your entry (anything not mentioned above).
c) Always make sure you have installed Chivalry in the correct order (checked Readme, official hints and perhaps the FAQ if it has a relation), before you proceed a ctd report.
d) A delivered saved game, short before the ctd is the first choice for us to have a chance to reproduce/check it. Always give them descriptive titles, such as i.e. "0.5-Eng-1085s" (s describes summer season).

Different users have posted that it might be a good decision to N O T install on previous versions 0.34/0.44.
So if you experience problems with using the former Chiv 0.34/0.44 installation for 0.50, then simply delete the whole chivalry folder, and proceed your Chiv setup once more to the then "empty" (= former chiv folder removed) RTW directory.
