Thread: Victoria 2 rebels.

    Default Victoria 2 rebels.

    Hi.
So I have victoria 2, AHD and using it to play new nations mod. I'm playing as Iraq, settling for the original territory I started with. I modified the game's ending date so I'm at ~1970. I have all technologies researched, and all reforms set. Ruling party is Baath party, and I'm supporting socialism in my country. Here's my problem: I keep getting two rebellions every two years. I keep building my army to ~300 regiments, and then rebellions break out, reducing them to 100 or less. The two main rebel groups that are doing this are the Fascists and Communists. Even though I have the lowest tax value at 50% since the economic policy is planned economy, and the tariffs are the lowest, too. Quite frankly, it's frustrating me, I'm done trying to avoid them using the game mechanics because it's obviously bugged. I want to remove the rebels completely, possibly using a mod or changing the game files. Can anyone tell me how? Thank you.

Not bugged imho, you just gotta stick your chest out and deal with it. Try rolling back reforms if that appeases your POPs or let the Fascists or Communists take over since you'll inevitably get one of both either way anyway.

edit: I don't think you can actually remove rebels entirely, I think you can lower their chance of appearing and I'm not even sure that works.

Fascists rise if your country is revanchist - your have cores that you don`t own and you lost wars.

Communists rise up because of lack of social reforms.

I would actually let Fascists turn the country into a Fascist dictatorship, Fascism is the most flexible of them all.

Rebellions are a very common thing in Vicky 2, just try to persevere.
