It looks interesting enough to me. I have some friends who are really going to love the MP campaign and personally, I will enjoy playing as Syrakousai. There definitely looks like there will be a bit of a fun factor to this campaign, especially as I did enjoy CIG.
Pre-ordered.

I vote "no" but I preorder the dlc only to see if it is possible to take rome/carthage in less than 10 turns with the help of magical transport ships. This kind of stupid challenge is priceless![]()
What is happening to the terrain as the camera moves?![]()
NO - SLEEP - TIL - KYOTO!!!
This is the map I wanted for the main campaign, in everything, also in province names.
It must be hard to sit there and try and talk up the DLC when they know how badly they've let the fanbase down. Trish et co seem like lovely people and I feel bad for them to be in such a position. They basically have to skirt around talking about the AI which can't be easy when trying to show off new DLC.
So what, seasons are in CiG, big whoop.
No. I couldn't even watch the whole thing ...had to skip through it. All i see is the map that we should have had at the start being sold to us as dlc. They screwed up the release and to make it up to us they're gonna sell us the game they should have made in dlc pieces. Combine this map with the CiG map and that looks more like the game we should have had.
The map looks pretty big, but relatively sparse. I wish they'd had more regions in Spain for example, since the area by Olisipo seems totally deserted. That and more units for Carthage. It should be interesting to play though...
my eternal thanks to the EB team for making R:TW such an epic game, and to TWC and all other modders for pushing the boundaries with each Total War title.
cant watch the video yet but already preordered and am looking forward to playing it.
Seasons dont matter to me at all though. I was sold on the map and the gameplay not seasons.
Well they have done a good job for Iberia, with provinces and cities names, just as they were in that age.... but personally there arenīt enough cities... Lusitania and Turdetania needed 1 more city at least... I think...
I hope to see 4 cultures for Iberian tribes:
Celts: Gallaeci, Lusitani, Cantabri, Astures, Celtici and Vettones
Iberians: Illergetae, Illercavones, Oretani and Turdetani
Celtiberians: Arevaci, Carpetani and Vaccaei
Aquitanians: Vascones

"Army reserves to make the late game more interesting..."
Huh?
Map looks EXACTLY the same, just bigger with some regions added, tech looks same but diplomacy! (why we must have a tech tree for short wars is a bit of a mystery eh must be easier for CA to cut these packs in a hurry?) Music is same and still un-moddable. HatG preview looks dull as dishwater but game play depends on AI - since we've been down this road many times before these are cookie cutter horse droppings hold onto your greenbacks gentlemen.

they didn't show anything...
So is every DLC but people eat them up - Battlefield 4, COD, Crusader Kings - all these games have extensive DLC's.
Just a standard industry practice.
"The morality of the DLC" give me aing break. It's called a business making money and it is not an exception to the rule.
It doesn't look that good and probably won't buy but I'm not going to trick myself into this self assurance I made the right decision because CA are terrible money grabbing pricks, no, they are like any other popular publisher of games in that they release DLC.
"But muh base game"
![]()
I pre-ordered it as soon as it popped up on the news feed on Steam.
No off-topic posts about whether DLC is money grabbing attempt or just a legitimate on-going business practice which every publisher seems to be doing these days. CA\SEGA isn't forcing it down anyone's throat. So if someone wants to discuss this then do it in the right thread, which is here.
Any general complaints with Rome 2 needs to be discussed here. I don't want to see anything related to this beyond this point.
