    Default [WIP] Imperial Splendour - Liberation of Kashyyyk




    LIBERATION OF KASHYYYK:

    Imperial Splendour is back on Total War: Rome 2 in order to offer a gameplay experience never known before. Imperial Splendour: Liberation of Kashyyyk is a transposition of the Star Wars saga for the first time in recent Total War modding history.



    Context:

    A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

    The story occures some years after the Endor Battle, after the destruction of the second Death Star and of the Emperor, so during the times when intergalactic systems are liberating from the Galactic Empire haegemony.


    On Kashyyyk, birth planet of Chewbacca and generally of wookies, which known a terrible fate with the rise of the Empire. But the time of the fall of the Empire has come, it is time to bear arms and to end twenty slavery years, however the task will be delicate cause even with the help of the young New Republic, wookies clans are divided between loyalist and separatists, besides the still important influence of the Empire remains leaded by the Great Amiral Thrawn...




    Global Preview:


    IS: LoK aims a total review of of Total War: Rome 2 integrating Star Wars saga universe.
    I'll have to add new units, new animations, new weapons, etc.
    On the gameplay focus, Kashyyyk is particulary interesting cause it will allow to reach a strategic aspect near of the TW: S2 Fall of the Samurais, I mean to find the good balancing between fire and melee weapons, without destroying the gameplay experience but improving it.

    Mr. IamHere, well yes only land roster, but it doesn't significate that I will only add land units for land battles. If you know what I mean. Thanks guys for the support! Anyway my first priority is to add rifle/blasters animations, then I will start to work on bigger units.

    Well, in fact CA gave animation tools for Maya and Motion Builder, we ( the TWC community) just lacked people solvent in using that software.

    Well yes, CA allow us to work on animations with the assembly kit. Whatever I wouldn't start anything about a Star Wars project without it.

    i just have a few questions

    1. How will this campaign work as in will there be planets to conquer on the campaign map or will it be based on a single world ?

    2. What is the capacity for space battles between iconic ships from the star wars universe (A naval warfare overhaul would be the most obvious choice)

    So for space battles I will have to think about it, but I will add space ship for land battle as in Hoth Battle.

    About the planets I was thinking to work only on one planet: Kashyyyk; but if you have proposals about other planets I am listening!

    About the timeline, it would just after the birth of the New Republic (just after the "Return of the jedi" so), during the Thrawn cycle. So it would be between the episode VI and episode VII.

    I would like to finish to work on rifles animations before to reveal the roster of the three different faction I'd like to add:

    *New Republic (Rebel Alliance)
    *Empire
    *Wookies confederation.

    What do you think guys?

    Im all for it, have you actually found out how to edit the campaign map ?

    Perhaps for the planets you can make a variety of maps and release them as separate campaign mods like CA has done with CIG and HATG but better ofcourse

    So a mod for kashykk and a different one for naboo etc

    I just added the two new animations (there wille be more diveristy in the future no worries), combined to the new blaster E-11 model added ingame too.
