I meant the good brother, thesmoosh's preset
The Picture of the Year 2018 and Game Picture of the Year 2018 competitions are finally here if you guys are interested.
Hey guys, glad you liked the pics. I just recently upgraded to a 9900k so I can finally play with 30+ fps though it's still not smooth if I go for hd texture addons. I posted my list and presets a few months ago (shouldn't have changed too much) but here's the latest:

Most are from steam, except for DEI and vfextended (that one you have to manually change to a movie in PFM and make read only. I may have changed the numbers in it though I'm not 100% sure.
The absolute best graphics would be enabling all of celticus's HD textures (though I personally don't like some of the terrain visuals) and using something like cheat-engine to increase draw distance, fix night lighting etc but I don't even know if the guy who published those presets is still around.
For a performance setup I would just use nohdr, visual_effects and divide_et_gerula. Those three drastically improve the look of the game even without GEMFX in my opinion.
It can vary based on the map you get but I usually set brightness to 20 and gamma between 14-18.
I spent a long time in GEMFX before I got a preset that I felt was playable and looked decent, hopefully it'll feel the same for you guys.
@thesmooth
Than's buddy. I'll add it in the OP
PS
1) No HDR mod is no longer needed since CA fixed the Vanilla issues.
2) Cheat engine is not updated since a long time now, so it's not working anymore.
3) VFX extended could be quite taxing for midrange PCs, so users should test it carefully.

1. Nice!
2. I see. So how are people doing those night shots with torch light etc? Is that in the base game now?
3. Yeah in the screenshot I have both regular and extended versions, use the one that works best
Did I miss anything else that CA has done? I was busy with work the past few months and haven't been keeping up.
Also does anyone know a way to increase draw distance for vegetation?
EDIT: I tried playing without nohdr, it's still gives me a headache, CA's lighting is way too tacky.

It's really great. I'm very impressed with your screens.
If I understand you correctly, then try this mod. In the description, Celticus writes that the detailization of vegetation (trees, grass) at medium and long range has been improved. Also does anyone know a way to increase draw distance for vegetation?
