I chose hard for campaign difficulty when playing 0.75, and had tons of trouble with it. The AI simply had too much recruitment and financial bonuses that they just dump full stacks at you every single turn. The battles became so inconsequential and tedious that I eventually stopped playing.
My question is, is there any change in terms of difficulty in 0.8? What campaign AI should I choose to avoid the problem I mentioned above. I really want the bigger battles to be a bit more decisive so there are some kind of meanings for victories.
