Please at least use a different name than "Eggers". It sounds like a supervillain's sidekick from a kid's TV show.

when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.
OK folks, I just posted the planning thread for our next WEF: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...lanning-Thread
Jacb, "lack of work ethic" and "true capitalist" are not things which can logically describe a single person.
Well I was tired when I wrote it.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell or die in the attempt."
lol
No, he's not wrong. Hypocrisy is definitely a thing.
But the point is that you wouldn't get to the top and stay there with a crappy work ethic.
Depends on how you got there. I haven't read his bio, maybe he's a self-entitled heir to a family fortune he didn't earn. Maybe he got to the top by way of unfair business practices? You don't always have to work hard to get what you want.
It basically does say that he inherited his business, but it also says he was well-suited for it and has done well, which doesn't make sense.
I really didn't intend to start a debate on this, it was just a silly thing to say.
I'm just sayin', let people write their own character bios. One of my biggest pet-peeves is people who critique other peoples' writing just for the sake of critiquing it. He can write whatever he wants (within reason) and so can you, so focus on your own character.
Oh God, the uber-racist is now the origin of "Give me Liberty, or give me death!"
This timeline's Tea Party is going to have a rough go of it.
So guys, we really need to get the Senate & House elections for Pres. pro-tem/Speaker out of the way fast since without them these bodies can't really function, plus the next turn will start on Friday. Shall I conduct the voting tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday? Either way, if you wanna sign up as a Senator or Rep you'd best do it quickly so you can register your vote too.
I'm fine with tomorrow, I think that unless Perry makes his guy a Senator all of us have voted.

Can we put a freeze on military movements until we get everyone registered? We're still missing at least 4 of our active players from the prologue, 5 if Fred is still interested in playing.
I should mention that I'm really only going to be playing McIntyre in a military role, so I don't really need to re-register. I'm going to clamp down on some peeved alcoholics and that'll be the extent of my involvement in the 1792 edition.

Damn Kip, the one chance we Whiskey Rebels had was IH's political gridlock and a full on bullrush.
Hahah I was poking around in the cabinet thread, absentmindedly trying to teach myself how to use [Float] tags, when I notice that 10,000 angry drunks are going to be in Philly in 3 days. Sort of shocked me back into business mode I sent VMs to all of the non-registered folks and I think we should be in order soon!
Man, we need more senators & reps too, on top of any players Kip might've recruited for the military. Feel free to create an aux for whichever House of Congress your main doesn't belong to (or either if you're a cabinet member actually) unless ofc you already have one, folks.
