Default New Cities Strat Models, v 1.0

I have edited the descr_cultures text file that will now allow the use of Agart's city strat map models while playing Broken Crescent. Here are some screenshots of what they look like in the game:

    To install do the following:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    1. Go to this thread and download the .rar file. Please make sure to rep him.

    2. Open up your Program Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War\mods\Broken_Crescent_kingdoms\ folder, make a copy of the descr_cultures file as a backup.

    3. Copy the new data folder from the cities download .rar and paste it over your copy.

    4. Download either descr_cultures (Basic) file or the descr_cultures (use with Portrait Mod) if you also use the portraits that are in the Broken Crescent Portrait Mod, then paste whichever descr_strat file into your data folder as well. IIRC this should be save-game compatible.
The only issue I have encountered so far is that at the large city level the port for Acre becomes unusable for sailing ships into due to a lack of space.

Good idea, I always add these models into my BC installs, man do they look good. I'd tried to rep you but I guess I've got to spread the love a little.

    Hey Mike Golf,
where is the portrait for Basileus Manuel from?
I've loaded your portrait mod, but this beautiful emperor portrait is not included as far as I know.

    Cheers mate

It is a custom portrait, I have actually made @ 15-20 possibly more custom portraits. When I have time in the next few days I will gather them all together and post them here. You will have to manually add them into the game though. It won't be difficult you'll have to open the descr_strat file and and find the person for whom the portrait was made, put a comma after the x,y coordinate, actually here s the example for Manuel:
    Code:
    ;; Constantinople
character Manuel Komnenus, named character, male, leader, age 55, x 21, y 143, portrait Manuel_Komnenus
    traits Factionleader 1 , GoodCommander 4 , GoodDefender 2 , ReligionStarter 1 , PublicFaith 3
    ancillaries emperor_rome, iconofmichael
    army
    unit bodyguard ere exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit ere elite varangian axemen exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
Actually I will load the custom portraits in the portrait mod thread.

EDIT: It has been awhile since I have looked at this mod, there are @ 60 custom portraits, not 20. Though about 20-25 are Mongolian to ensure that all the Mongolians have an actual Mongolian portrait when they spawn.

Good job with this, Mike. This, used alongside Charge's MapMod, makes BC look so much better, and now I don't need to go through the adaptation hassle myself.

    +Rep, naturally.

I only wish there were an Indian type city to add as well.
