what version of BC is that?
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ الله
lā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muḥammadun rasūlu-llāh
(There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God)
It is the latest Broken Crescent with a few additional city names from a mod I am working on.
Interesting and entertaining research. It is something of an irony that one should render Roman names as they are used by Greeks - but in Roman characters. Why not stick to the originals? By the way, the Greek nominative is Konstantinoupolis NOT Konstantinopoulis! Similarly for Theodosioupolis (NOT Theodosiopoulis), etc. Besides, at this period, Byzantine writers 90% of the time referred to the city as Byzantium, not Constantinople. When it was not called Byzantium, the rest of the time it was refered to as the City of Constantine, which in later times became rendered in English and also in Greek in one word as Constantinople.
