    Default Mighty music overhaul 2.0

    Mighty music overhaul 2.0

    Pozdrav,

    I uploaded a bunch of music that I used while playing after I got bored with the old soundtrack.
    It covers the most used tracks ingame.

    Installation and usage are extremely simple since I changed the track names to replace the old files.

    The only thing one needs to do is copy/paste these tracks in their data/Sounds/music folder and overwrite the old soundtrack.
    If you do not like a particular song you just leave your old one alone.
    I advise you listen to them all and pick the ones you actually like.

    Whelp, enjoy

    Just right click on an individual track and select download.
    You should also be able to download the whole thing in one click by selecting them all with the drag option but it doesn't work for me for some reason

    Trust me, the tracks are worth the clicks

    Thank you all, maybe there will be more tracks coming now that I have reinstalled SS.

    Also,
    for those that enjoy this kind of music, I would like to share with you a hidden gem I have found a long time ago;

    Ancient FM(renaissance radio):

    http://www.ancientfm.com/

    Just press the "WinAmp" button...erm, I mean interactive written word thingy and download the "playlist" file that you can press and then enjoy music while playing your favourite history themed games

    Update;

    -a couple of new tracks
    -reedited some old ones
    -4 new main menu tracks

    Recombined the entire music list into a single .rar file, if there is a problem with any of the files please request here and I will either fix the corrupted file or re upload a new working version of it.

    Enjoy

    Wow. This is surprisingly good. And I love the image you've got there ripping on MC Hammer. You, sir, deserve some rep.

    However, you replaced Honour Moment, which was arguably one of the best mobilization tunes that didn't need replacing. Your versions of "Valley of Death" and "War of Kings" also lack the power and intensity of those original scores. The other battle tracks sound okay, but they're a bit too soft for my touch, not hard enough. I don't mind using some of your music, but I'm definitely going to be selective about it for my own preferences.

    That said, your mobilization music reflects some very good choices, including music from Kingdom of Heaven and Last of the Mohicans! Nice job there.

    Honour Moment is indeed an amazing track, however I heard it one to many times im afraid.
    I do admit that my replacement of it is not quite good enough considering what it replaced, however, I am planning to replace it.

    Your opinion on my other versions surprises me...seriously...especially for those two particular tracks, since they are one of the most epic things I have ever heard when playing total war(0:40 sec and afterwards of my VoD track is pumping crucible steel in my brain), far more exiting than the vanilla tracks, which lack the musical element of representing the grandness of large armies and besieged cities.

    To each their own I guess

    I still don't get how are the soft...are you talking about the strategic map melodies(those are soft on purpose) or the battle map ones?

    Wait till you have a huge battle and the new Tectonic mobilize theme starts playing

    I have already prepared a new version with more tracks and new replacement for the main menu themes.
    I just need to crop and edit some music files and finally decide on the track to replace the replacement of Honour Moment

    Hi

    I love most of your music, with the exceptions of the Arabic ones (in battle only)
    Do i just need to copy paste some of my songs in the folder and rename it (arabic_battle ..etc) or it is more complicated ?

    Anyway, great music pack

    You just need to copy/paste/replace the music files you like with the ones in your mods\SS6.3\data\sounds\music folder and that's it

    I do not like small damp enclosed spaces with bars instead of windows...so no.
    I cannot

    *cough* I found these music files randomly online without any names or info about them that would elude to any form of copyright *cough*

    Well, to give you an idea of what I put there instead, listen to this X-Ray dog tune called Bigfoot. Now that's powerful! I'm a metalhead, so any music that doesn't have thundering drums for battle doesn't sound strong enough to me, too flaccid. No offense to your choices, since everything is subjective.

    I also added in this ole tune from the first Rome: Total War called "Imperial Conflict." It's a classic; plus it's a good example of what I'm talking about.
